Interesting. I didn't know Sally Ride was a lesbian/Bi.Since the last name is a ref to Sally Ride, I think it'd be cool to have the first name be from another famous bi/lesbian woman. Like after Virginia Woolf/Josephine Baker/Storme DeLarverie
Or something weather related bc Tempest.
RYDER CONFIRMED!

I just hope we can leave the first name slot empty. Thinking about a first name is just pointless when no one refers to you by it.
I did that for one of my Shepards by using a string of hyphens. It worked.

Interesting. I didn't know Sally Ride was a lesbian/Bi.
I just looked it up and it's true. Her partner was a woman by the name of Tam O'Shaughnessy, and they had been together for 27 years. Whether she was a lesbian or bisexual in this case is kinda beside the point:

That is very close. It also wouldn't be the first time a VA for side character from ME3 became a protagonist in another game. Good catch.

I guess I don't see the nose being that big. To me, it's much the same complaint as nitpicking over Cassandra's jawline. In a more milder fashion without "Omerg, SJW" or "BioWare hates straight men."Why the nose so big though?? Should I see the eye doctor?
I don't think you need glasses, but it's a matter of opinon is all. Besides, it wouldn't be too hard to still use that face with a different nose. It's not like she's going to be our only option.

Eh, you're not being rude about it. We've all got our nitpicks. I dislike the shiny-shiny skin and it was a little distracting in DA:I. I think that's more FB than the designers though and I'll probably learn to just ignore it.
Oh and it's a good chance she was either modeled or had a face scan.

Maybe. They did that with Laura Bailey in Halo 5 and it worked out pretty well.
Male Protag: John Ryder? Can't really think of a good one here.
Female Protag: Honey Ryder. Oh yeah, James Bond reference, all the way. ![]()

Wow, nice catch. That gives a pretty good chance Laura is the voice, which is awesome since she was easily my favorite voice for the Boss in Saints Row IV. Now everytime I'm driving around in the Mako I'm going to hear her singing Opposites Attract with Pierce.

Zinyak ruined Biz Markie. Never forget.
That's my favorite Boss voice in SR4 as well.

Valentina Ryder. Her first name is going to be an homage to the first woman in space. I figured with the dev homage to Sally Ride, I thought it fit to have them together.

Edit: Corrected Sally Ride's name.
Huh, it seems I was thinking the same for one of my characters because I dug out the paper I wrote down possible names on and found one that was written down as Valentyna Ryder.

Don't tempt the ME team. I'm all about exploring the concepts of transhumanism, but 'banging bots is a little too much for me. I don't want to give them any incentive to add robot LIs.That just means you don't get to bone any sex robots.

Oh awesome. We should keep track of our "Vals" and see what differences we choose.
