Wth happened? The guy said they'd go full Bethesda showing some gameplay, plot info and stuff. And he was a reliable source in the past.

Was just wondering, either his info was not accurate or either Bio decided to not show anything on the last minute so to speak.

 

And yes I know, there's a dozen threads discussing what they showed and what they didn't on E3, but there won't be long until the romance and hair style threads return to these parts so may as well discuss every single last bit of nonsense we have about this.

Well they give us some info but in the form of a interview, like other have state the game is on Polish state, so my guess is they want to blow us when they actually show actual gameplay.

 

Just looking at some of the part of the tease trailer, you can see there is alot more polish. Rememember we are 7months aways from the Suppost release day if not longer so be cool.

The developers are but Bioware is a business, not a friend. A business that must serve me, a customer. Slightly different.

I don't know much about this guy.  But in general I take most of what internet insiders say with a grain of salt, regardless of what industry or entity they have an in with.

In the interview shortly before EA Play, he kept saying they would "probably" show this, "probably" tell us that. He specifically accompanied almost everything he said with the word "probably" which to me was a dead giveaway that he was just guessing.

Most likely EA doesn't want them to show a lot right now. They need to sell Battlefield and Titanfall hype not ME:A. This game is almost a year away with a current around spring release why show gameplay now? He said fall you'd get more info that's probably when the media blowout will happen because that's when BF1 and TF release. Those are out of the way then it's all ME:A because EA will be relying on it big with a release date probably around March for quarterly earnings.

I actually don't remember him saying anything of the sort. Maybe he did and I've misremembered. I recall him giving positive feedback on what he saw, and saying he thought we'd likewise be impressed when we got to see it. That's it.

I'd say this is pure nonsense. I mean, everytime you see someone saying 'x won't market y game because it would steal the hype from z'. And just look at Titanfall and Battlefield. They are very similar games that will be released in the same month! I mean, isn't one stealing the hype from the other?

They are very similar games that will be released in the same month! I mean, isn't one stealing the hype from the other?

 

Maybe but the point is neither Bioware or EA feel it's necessary to reveal more now for ME:A with at least another 8 months development. Plenty of time to hype the game up. Battlefield 1 gameplay is just now being revealed and it's only a few months from release. Why would Mass Effect be different there seeing as it still has many months of polish left? Could also signify they're not confident in the projected release date and it MIGHT get delayed again. Either way you look at it, if Bioware is using the Bethesda method, they never reveal gameplay until that game is a few months from release. They reveal their game at E3 and it comes out like 4 months later.

Remember when no one was perfect and predict the future? Stuff happened and **** changed, if you wanna throw blame at someone then do it @ Bioware. 2E3s and we got diddly **** gameplay wise of this game.

So, do you imagine, then, that this will continue endlessly and that the game is vaporware? I understand being disappointed with the less than informative revelations, but it will come in time. The game will be released next spring, so they have to reveal something before then. If you choose not to believe them when they promise "this fall", so be it.
