Greetings.

One of the things that I would like to talk about is the question of species re-population and species continuity in Andromeda.

To this end, Interstellar's Plan B can serve as a way for all the species who have a spot on The Ark to ensure the continuity of their respective species in Andromeda.

Interstellar's Plan B:- http://interstellarf...com/wiki/Plan_B

Plan B was one of two contingencies developed by Professor Brand and NASA to guarantee human continuity. In case Plan A is no longer viable, the Endurance carries 5,000 embryos in cryogenic freeze ready for the first ten to be incubated. Within 30 years, the new colony world would have a population of hundreds.

It is unclear how the first few generations of frozen embryos could gestate without a large number of adult women to carry them to term. It is possible that NASA or other scientists on Earth had developed artificial womb technology but this is never mentioned in the film.

Unbeknownst to NASA and the Endurance crew, Professor Brand always considered Plan B to be the only viable option for humanity to avoid extinction.

Additionally, the Ark should also have something akin to Svalbard's Global Seed Vault.

Svalbard's Global Seed Vault:- https://en.wikipedia...obal_Seed_Vault

The Svalbard Global Seed Vault is a secured seed bank on the Norwegian Island of Spitsbergen near Longyearbyen in the remote Arctic Svalbard Archipelago, about 1,300 kilometers (810 miles) from the North Pole. Conservationist Cary Fowler, in association with Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), started the vault to preserve a variety of plant seeds that are duplicate samples, or "spare" copies, of seeds held in gene banks worldwide. The seed vault is an attempt to insure against the loss of seeds in other gene banks during large-scale regional or global crisis.

Since Andromeda is an entirely new galaxy with its own ecosystem, flora and fauna, it would be both practical and sensible for the Ark to have a seed vault like the one we have in Svalbard right now to create a reliable food source in Andromeda. This is important because we do not know the protein chirality of the flora and fauna in Andromeda.

So what do you think ? Should Mass Effect Andromeda incorporate concepts from Interstellar's Plan B and Svalbard's Global Seed Vault ? Or will we rely on space magic to justify these things ?

Have a nice day and cheers.
