I believe we already had the training in the MW. We know our character get to wear it. It was seen in the leak and trailer. Just because we are N7 doesn't automatically mean we're a high and mighty hero. It just means we have a high level of combat training. We have earn our hero status through heroic actions. I swear to god when they reveal the protagonist info and we're N7 I'm making a celebration thread.

Same here.

It'd be stupid as f*ck if The Alliance doesn't make an elite military person the HNIC of colonization.

And that ice blue N7 armor looks sick

What do you mean? I never got that edition.

The pieces that came with it were cheaply made, broke pretty easily. The chest itself was held together with hot glue. It was a waste for the most part.

how would you get that training when you're in Andromeda and likely won't have contact with the Milky Way

There's at least one N7 soldier that came with ;)

(probably more)

how much was it? I really don't want to spend a whole lot of money on things I may not really need.

It won't be. I'll still play it and preorder the most expensive edition but I will give Bioware so much **** for the rest of my life that the endings feedback will be minuscule at best. N7 is a big deal to bioware so I have no worries anyway. I was told my character would be N7 and that's what I expect.

N7 is a big deal for you, and others, but not everyone. I couldn't care lesa if our character is N7 or not, and not being one doesn't mean our character has to suck. And lol at the ending comparison. No matter how much you'll complain it won't be the same, since far less people will care about the N7 thing.

That's assuming our character will be the head of the whole project.
And again, N7 isn't necessary to be an elite soldier. Kaidan and Ashley weren't and they became Spectres.

Well, I still think N7 is a different character and we won't be one, so I'll wait for your reaction.

Does it really matter WHO the protagonist is? I mean theyll be a blank slatebto allow the player to say what they want so the protagonist is really nothing more than a name and a customizable face.

I won't have any reaction. I'm fine either way for the PC being N7 or not. I just think we won't be one.

Nah, I think I won't fall on the crazy idea human soldiers suck if they're not N7.

That's what in my conscious mind. Soldiers with the N have some badass training. Jetpack flight, Free fall, zero g combat training, combat diving, etc. N 1 through 6 are like Navy Seals. N7's are like devgru. The N7's in ME3 MP made the default soldiers look like small fry.

How did Jimmy Vega get N7 candidacy immediately?

I thought it's supposed to go from N1 to N2 to N3 and all the way up to N7

He was probably N6. He's was special forces after all. Watch Paragon Lost. Great story about James.

I prefer our character not be N7 right from the beginning of the story. I'd like to earn my stripe, so to speak, this time. N7s would revered regardless of "the Skyllian Blitz"; "Akuze"; or "Torfan"; much the same as Delata Force, SEAL Team VI and SAS Regiment operators are revered by those on the outside. The fact that Shepard was even more insanely elevated doesn't change this.

As to the identity of the N7 in MEA, I'll restate what I've stated before, since I got no input, good or bad, previously. I think the N7 is a Ryder, just not our Ryder. I think he is quite possibly the father of the protagonist.

This N7 is plastered on the cover of the upcoming "Andromeda Initiative" novel, strongly implying he could be the protagonist, or a main character, at least. If he's starring in the novel, that's locking his gender as male.

We saw the pic in the N7 day trailer that seemed to depict a parent and two children.

I believe that the N7 is dad, and the protagonist is one of the two siblings. Which sibling we play is decided by our choice made at character creation time, of course.

I'm not sure what ole dad is up to, but he likely has reasons for his seemingly roguish behavior. We will likely be pursuing him as we carry out our main "Ai"/"Pathfinder" duties, whatever they may be.

That's my theory, as it currently stands. I think it fits the current evidence reasonably well.

Edit: Further discussion with Shechinah and Fogg led me to add this addendum:

The N7 day family photo showed a parent, a younger sibling and an older sibling. It is possible that the older sibling is the N7. Either way, I believe our N7's gender is locked as male.

I meant to say that the idea that human soldiers suck if they're not N7 is crazy, and I won't fall for that. If my phrase isn't corre tra and means the opposite it's more because english isn't my first language.
