There is no citatel on Andromeda. And as far as leaks go I'm pretty sure we will be confined to just one cluster which means no Mass Relays.

I wouldn't be surprised if the opening sequence consists of the Ark departing right during the reaper invasion on earth.

So the future Mass Effect games won't have one of the icons of the Mass Effect franchise. It's like making a Star Wars product without the Force.

No way will the reapers have any connection to MEA. They are trying to move away from ME3....it would be such a dumb move.

TBH I don't think Mass Relays, reaper constructions, are ME icons. I'd think the N7 symbol is the true iconic icon, which they have used until now on the trailers even though it's not part of the protagonist.

N7 is the iconic image of Shepard.
Mass Relays are the iconic image of Mass Effect in general. They are literally the biggest and best example of the mass effect.

Three games dealing with the Reapers should be sufficient, I think.
Time for some new stories.

Well, the Catalyst says it's inevitable that without Reapers, synthetics will destroy all organic life.
And since the Catalyst is absolutely right in everything it says
That means that either
1) The Reapers are already in Andromeda
2) Something like the Reapers is in Andromeda, harvesting the galaxy
3) Synthetics have totally wiped out all organic life, and Andromeda is run by machine gods
I mean, nothing else makes sense, right?
Edit: Oh, fourth possibility! Andromeda has achieved Synthesis and is a green utopia! ![]()

Lol, says who? Even in-game characters realize it's logic broken beyond repair.

My theory? Something scarier than Reapers has residence in Andromeda. Somthing that would make the Catalyst wet his training pants

Didn't leaks mention tron-like aliens with skeletal figurines? Those would probably be Remnants, the tech gods/synthesis aliens you are mentioning.

For me the reapers story ended with shep in ME3 let the new enemy have there turn now instead of having them get overshadowed.
After sheps trilogy being about the reapers i really want a new enemy not another crap reaper boss fight.

Unless Andromeda was part of the Leviathan Empire, then I think not. They are programmed to tend to the species evolving inside that territory. Don't see them trying to expand to the trillions of galaxies beyond.

Agree. Maybe it's nostalgia speaking but i can't imagine a ME game without the iconic Citadel or at least it's analogue.

Well, on the one hand I'd like the Reapers to be over and done with, on the other hand:
They'd work as a tie in to the old series (we defeated them - which of the endings it was/is doesn't matter for Andromeda, but there would of course be MASS RELAYS if they had been there...otherwise we'd be restricted to comparatively "slow" FTL-Travel, so that traveling around takes much longer/we'd be restricted to only one cluster of stars (ok: Maybe an upgraded FTL-Drive might help, but for now we'd be quite restricted!)!)
On the other hand:
I'd love it even more if either another race built something like the relays (we would be unable to use them at first because unlike the Reapers they wouldn't want just anyone using them, even if they are long dead...maybe that ancient race (or races?) that's supposedly long dead built structures like that? Or maybe some Protheans also built Arks and left (that might be great: Have another look at the Protheans...hell, maybe that ancient species was the Protheans (now wouldn't that be a twist)
)
greetings LAX
