Alan Shepard was diagnosed with it after the Mercury missions, was removed from flight status during Gemini, but was able to have it corrected via surgery to allow him to fly on the Apollo 14 mission.
(And after reading up more on Menieres, it makes me feel a tad guilty for ever thinking Glue Ear was a hassle

They did actually show the male character in the trailer, just not without the helmet. We'll see him in the future.

If you are referring to the guy hanging upside down by the Krogan, I believe he is the leader of the Outlaw Faction that stole the ship from the Krogan colony.
Interesting that both the female protag and the human male with the Krogan in that 4 sec combat clip are wearing white suits. Does this mean that Outlaws are wearing dark ones, like the N7 suit in the 1st trailer? Is he actually a member / leader of an outlaw faction?

I don't know about alienation, but I'll just play a default. I hate bothering with their CCs. They suck. Even with all the better textures in DAI, it still sucks.

Watch the vid again. This face is anything but 'iconic'. Me3 femShep concept design at least had some badass personality in it.
This is definitely not the face you would want to see on all the covers, arts and trailers for the heroic Space-fiction. It would probably work for something like 'Gravity' or 'Alien', but those are all different kinds of stories.
It may not be iconic right now, but it very well could become so. After all, we don´t know the story yet.
If you're saying that outrage over the way she looks makes no sense then I agree whole heartedly.
I don't personally feel attached to it but she looks cute in a 'regular girl' sense, determined and most of all less experienced.
Which I think is the whole point, she isn't a legend yet.

There is a Ryder family, my guess is there is a default for both sexes. The only thing I worry over for this game is what the exact release date will be so I know when it will be arriving 
Also I am male and favor playing as males, though I do play as female once in a while. I didn't feel alienated.
