You get EXP boost for limited time in Fallout 4 and Skyrim after sleeping with your LI so I guess something like that could happen.

I don't think those special perks are behind romances though? You get one for every companion you have maxed approval for even if you don't romance them. Unless Danse has some special special perk that I haven't heard off, but I doubt that.

i was thinking romacing would unleash special abilities with that character. like if you romance a krogan and your health goes down to 10% he becomes ur human(krogan)shield absorbing damage for you. Romance a Turian he starts sniping anyone that shot at you. Ect ect.. would be a cool mechanic.
