Can I have myself a vegan crossdressing krogan engineer with down syndrom and only one arm and leg?
All jokes aside...
You should be able to "romance" anyone in the game, if it's an AI, another species, the same, the opposite or unknown gender, romance should always be a possibilty. Romance can be physical, romance can be psychological, it can also be both. If a fe/male human and a fe/male krogan share the deepest emotional connection they will ever find in the entire universe, then fugg everything else, who dares to be against that? If it's bros or sisters, sword duelists or scissor sisters, let everyone go his/her own path, just as you would love to go your own.
Remember...

Don't see a reason for gameplay perk but sure, I would be fine with a krogan romance. I'm in favor of a krogan companion that is more of a shaman because I'd like for more insight into krogan culture so a romance could be an interesting thing since I do not think krogan have much, if any, in the way of romance or romantic rituals.
Could be an interesting and amusing callback to Charr's poetry if the krogan tries to find a romantic ritual to imitate and tries to read poetry.
Note: I believe I remember reading that krogan culture is very ritualistic.

Sounds good but, it would be really interesting to find out why that shaman is in the Andromeda galaxy and not back on his home planet serving his clan. Would he be an ex-shaman?

I've mentioned this in a previous thread a while back: basically, I wondered if there were wandering shamans who traveled off-world to try and convince some krogans to come back or not give up on their culture. That said, having a krogan that was once a shaman but became disillusioned as a result of the Genophage could be interesting as well since they could still provide a deeper insight into their culture. Their story could be more personal in that the outcome is that they find a sense of being and purpose in helping out in the Andromeda galaxy or keeping the people they personally care about safe.
In either case, the krogan wouldn't necessarily have to be male since it is not unthinkable that some of the female krogan that thought themselves barren might have left the world for the same reason that many of the males do.

Maybe back in the Milky Way, some of the Krogan Shamans occasionally went off-world in order to travel on pilgrimages to former Krogan worlds, to hold ceremonies that honoured the fallen that died during the Rachni Wars and during the Krogan Rebellions?
Perhaps there might be a Shaman who went with other Krogan to Andromeda to serve as a missionary of sorts, to ensure that the old ways are not forgotten by the new generations of Krogan, now their homeworld and people are a Galaxy behind them?

I've found my old posts about it.
It actually makes a lot of sense given the Maiden stage which the painted asari might be in;
"The Maiden stage begins at puberty and is marked by the drive to explore and experience. Most young asari are curious and restless, and it is not uncommon for many to try their hand at dancing in bars or working as mercenaries during this time."
While there are some asari who stick close to home, a majority are driven to explore and experience and so it would make sense that they adapt this way as explorers as the previous ways might no longer be possible.
The krogan with the unusual armor we see might be a krogan who is following some old way of his or her clan. It could be interesting with a krogan companion who can show more about the krogan in terms of rituals and the reasoning behind them. Of course, they may simply be a krogan who likes to decorate their armor.
Still, if there are two krogans then it could be interesting if they are different examples of the krogan the Genophage has caused; the krogan who is highly individualistic because they see no reason to care and do not believe rebuilding is possible and the krogan who is very collectivistic because they believe rebuilding and maintaining krogan culture is possible. Given what we've seen in the series so far, both would be equally capable of wrecking their foes in battle and they would be interesting foils to each other.

I'd like to see a female krogan: she could have been infertile and left for space rather than deciding to stay on Tuchanka to help or wander out in the desert to commit suicide.
It is possible the krogan that we see were recruited as explorers in case of toxic enviroments. They wouldn't be able to reproduce so wouldn't pose a risk that way and a lot of mercenary krogan don't care about their own race so they wouldn't necessarily have any loyalty that they consider worth staying for. If they think the exploration gig is worth it, they'll likely not care about the race that's employing them.
If the team decided to keep krogan on as a reproducing race, they could pull an Okeer and have them reproduce through artificial means. This could potentially solve the problem of explosive breeding while allowing the Andromeda krogan to maintain a stabile population.

Depends on what kind of poet they are.
We could have a Krogan warrior who's idea of how to write a poetic edda reads more like death metal lyrics.
And I'm okay with that.
.....Somehow, it sounds like an excellent idea!

Also, the krogan dropping the guy off the cliff, his profile on closer inspections looks...kind of handsome. He has a more prominent jaw and chin than Wrex and Grunt did. I'm guessing he is going to be chintastically handsome. And also

If he is a poet he could be Ash/Cassandra/even Jack style: what? Just because I'm a badass warrior I cannot like sensitive stuff?? Just... don't tell anyone (new Krogan addition: or I kill you, human)

It'd be actually fun to see, especially after all these Saren and Okeer shenanigans, which were constantly labeled immoral.
Besides I keep imagining things from natives' perspective. Gotta see khet 'faces' (or whatever they have) if they find one of krogan 'factories'.

To be fair, I think Saren and Okeer's shenanigans were more to due the ethics and reason behind why they were doing what they were doing; Saren intended to tank-breed an army and Okeer left anyone who he thought was imperfect to die without a care.

Ah, yeah, that was the rationale for these being unacceptable. But in the end game allowed only one way of dealing with genophage - complete cure, where mommy-krogan and daddy-krogan could have thousand kids per year and live happily ever after, instead of this soulless krogan-engineering.
