They did, actually.  But their biology limited which worlds they could settle on.

There's actually a planetary description of a world in ME2 (I think) that said the quarians tried to settle there, but were kicked off by the Council.

Edit:  Ah, here we go:

Yes.  By ME2 time they were split politically between the find new home faction and the retake Rannoch faction.  That was basically the whole sub plot of Tali's loyalty mission.  Koris was the leader of the find a new home faction.

Actually, in the codex is stated (at least in ME1 codex) that some Quarians had founded little colonies, but generations would pass before their immune system would adapt to the new world and live without their suits.

For this, and the hope to go back to their native planet, the fleet was preferred by most of the Quarians, but not all. Plus, would be so strange to think some ship would not answer to the call to army against the Geth and help the Council with the building of the "Ark" ships? (I can see Admiral Koris send some of his civilian ships to the council to spare them before the battl agaist the Geth).

Who better than the Quarian have the expertise about how to build a ship where to live for an undetermined period of time?

I wasn't saying Quarians shouldn't be in Andromeda, just that the MW species wouldn't stay 3 centuries in their fleet. I was just pointing out the difference between the quarians and the Andromeda species.

Travelling for long periods of time on a big ol' spaceship to reach another galaxy?

Let's definitely NOT bring the most tech-savy species with us! #LOGIC

Guys stop trying to find reasonable lore reasons why Quarians will or won't be in Andromeda. If Bioware wants them to be they will be in the game. Simple as that. They can find and write in countless reasons in game why Quarians are or aren't in it.

Now let's discuss whether we think Bioware would abandon Quarians completely?

I think they have a good chance of not making a return.

In a rumored survey leak Bio azzked which races would you mind not seeing again.  Quarians topped the list, and we have yet to see signs of them in trailers.

I heard another rumor that Tali wasn't going to be a squadmate in ME3 until they made some changes.

Well I agree it's fruitless to look for reasonable lore explanations in Mass Effect stories...

As long as there are Hanar missionaries trying to convert the native species of Andromeda to the Enkindlers, I'm happy.

If the others get an Asari then I want my Quarian waifu.

Unless there's a new species that's even better.

Well, their race dying isn't accurate:

There's Quarians NOT living on the Migrant Fleet (exiles, people who didn't want to return from their pilgrimage, people ON pilgrame) and fleet elements not present (scouts would probably be still looking for raw materials etc.)

Sure: If you chose this (STUPID!) option, then the bulk of them is dead (and they will probably never recover), but they aren't GONE yet!

ps: Why would you not take the people with the most experience in space-travel along (they can fix the damned ark in the middle of nowhere if something breaks, others might not or at least not as efficient because they lack all that experience)?

Hell, IMHO they've probably HELPED BUILD the damned thing (unless it was a sort of Prothean relic that wasn't finished so the Protheans couldn't use it or something along those lines!) ;)

exactly at the very least Quarian can be the Ark's master ship mechanics

Whether or not the quarians were wiped out in your game, they didn't all die. By all means, it's no impossibility for a few of them to board the Ark, despite what happened to their people.

There's only one problem: if there's no save transfer, they'll have no reaction to what happened to their entire race, and if they were wiped out, there's a possibility that they'll have beef with the humans, because of what Shepard allowed the geth to do, meaning that they would be less willing to accompany them to Andromeda.

There is no point in Quarians going to Andromeda unless they bring a few thousand to repopulate a new world. Thousands of Quarians will not ignore the call to take back their homeworld. Even if they were planning on going to Andromeda, they would have backed out and left for Ranoch.

You have a few dozen outlaws and renegades that are not welcome back, but even then, they might get a pardon if they help take back Ranoch.

Quarians in Andromeda make no sense because of the events of ME3.

They already confirmed the ships start their voyage before the endings.

That leaves a lot of room for everyone, though it does beg the question about the genophage.

We certainly need them more than whatever you want to see in Andromeda. That's given.

When the new economy is established in Andromeda, you can be certain that a quarian would be the first to have considerable debt.

Frankly, I'd more willingly place GETH into the Ark ships.  THey don't need food, sleep, only storage.

If something when wrong, coming out of Cryo can be time consuming (see Solo in SW:RotJ), and time might be a luxury you don't have.

Maybe it's just me, tho....

Geth don't even need storage. They can just live in the ship's systems. Once we get to Andromeda then we built their platforms for them.

Guys, nobody had peaceful contact with geth except Saren and Shepard until ME3. Cerberus got some, but I wouldn't call it a success.

I dunno why people ignore it.
