Thing about this theory is an interview by Walters.

Development is in its final stages we don't want to show off anything that isn't finished or polished.

Which means that's the finished product.

Yeah, except they shown Morrigan a lot closer to release then this asari, and she changed again. And again.

I'm not saying she'll surely change. Keeping your expectations low is fair, and you'll avoid getting more disappointed. I honestly don't care a bit how she'll look like. Regardless of what he said, in 9 months a lot of things can change.

We're not talking about Morrigan.

And DAI wasn't this far along as best as I can tell.

I'm talking abotu character changing during development. Neither I was saying it'd be good or bad. I'm just saying they often change characters' appearance during development.

Yeah, as it'd be the first time they shown something and changed it.

Again, jusding the entire asari in Andromeda by one single member is silly. But you seem really obsessed with the asari (which I don't know you call like that since they're originally from Thessia) so let's agree to disagree.

Asaru.

Whatever helps you deal with this disappointment. I hope that you find some other female character to like in Andromeda.

The previous game engine didn't allow showing that Asari are mono-gender, at least its what I think. If you look up things about mono-gender, they don't have to be female at all. Although Asari are mammal mono-gender so that's a bit complicated. They would need birth organs and breast feeding, other than that everything else about them can be male or female oriented. That's how mono-gender works.

Except the fact that they use female pronouns and titles for everything asari-related. And their appearance is distinctly feminine.

I honestly doubt the asari's appearance is because they want to make their appearances more gender-neutral, but I guess we'll see.

Also, I doubt the previous engine is the reason why they couldn't make them more gender-neutral physically. They wanted to make them all women.

We will have to wait and see about the asari if there was a redesign of the entire species or we got unluck in having the ugliest of the entire race being part of our team. Time will tell. Let's hope we don't get another DA:I squad type....that was the first BW game where I didn't feel the desire to romance a single character as a male protagonist.

I don't think the language matters here that much. The English language has male and female pronouns and the people of milky way galaxy are not speaking the language that was formed in an island on earth. If you pay attention the game never acknowledges the language is English at all.

But if we are blunt, Asari have female sexual organs because they need to be able reproduce like rest of the mammals. So they will always be more female than male. But for example they can have male bone structure on their face or male-like hands. But I doubt it will change the fact that female pronouns will still be used. It will simply make them more "natural" as mono-gender species. The Asari parent that doesn't give birth to the child is called father by Asari themselves btw. As I said I wouldn't pay too much attention to how language is used because its a bit complicated. If we all spoke German maybe we could use Neutral pronouns on Asari since German has male, female and neutral pronouns.

I don't find her attractive (but I don't think she's as ugly as some people say), and I was fine with the options in DAI. Others were fine with DAI but disliked some options in DA2 (people complained a LOT of all the non-Hawke female party members). That's not even considering those characters' personality.

People have different opinions about character's appearance. DAI wasn't the first game where people criticized some if not all the LI inside. MEA will be no exception.

Won't be able to without a Quarian. If the DAI pattern continues the Quarian squaddy (If any) will be A.) Male - B.) Not a romance option.

I'm pretty sure I saw a Quarian in the last trailer. http://i.imgur.com/r31RJSD.jpg

Seen between the big monster attack and a male human and krogan dangling a man over a cliff.

What logistics? They're the galactic race most used to living in cramped conditions and spending all their lives in a spaceship. They bring their own safety precautions (the suits) not to get sick from contact with other people. Their engineers know how to make use of every scrap to survive and get by. They can eat the same food as the Turians (who I don't think we're leaving behind, given they're one of the most powerful civilizations in the Milky Way).

I was  talking about how to cryogenise them,  I dont think the suit can sustain it (If someone has the proof I'm wrong, I'm interested), so you'll have to manage a lot of Quarians whitout their suits on, at the time of departure and arrival.  Also how to preserve the whole quarians population when they'll be in close contact to others species for a long time (unlike on their ships) . There is the fact that they'll need more antibiotics and immuno-boosters than the others, They'll need extra clean rooms (ME Wiki) for them.  They also cant reproduce at the same rate as the others, while not having the life span of a krogan.

So,

They are fragile, have no money, no authority or political power, they have difficulties whith their reproduction,  BUT they're good at living in a spaceship so we should take them ?

'father' is the only male term used though. All the other terms are females. The fact that they use English isn't an excuse for every other terminology being female. Also, did they use neutral terms to indicate Asari in German? If not, it's clearly an indication of Bioware's direction in considering them female. I doubt that they used english as an excuse to make the terms for the asari female-gendered, while they meant them to be more neutral.

Also, Asari might be mammals, but Bioware decided them to be like that. They could've created a mono-gendered race which wasn't mammal, and probabily more gender-neutral in appearance if they wanted to. They choose the asari to be mammals and closer in appearance to humans (female humans) for a reason.

Asari and humans aren't that different. If they have sex with an asari, they can have sex with a human.

Regardless, your character isn't a krogan.

You're assuming Asari are physically having sex. I'm not about that. I want to have a spiritual connection with a beautiful blue warrior.

To sing to her the battle songs of my ancestors.

To let her weep on my bosom.

You apparently are a pervert.

Are you trolling me?

DarthSherm asked you if krogans don't bang humans, you said they'd die....and you say you're not talking about sex?

Tell me why humans would die then. Are their hears too fragile to hear the battle song of 'your' ancestors?
