Well, Miranda had a living 'prototype' which had little to none in common with what we've got in ME2.

Same true for the difference between concept and ME3 'iconic' femShep.

 

I can easily believe that they had engine-screwed the original faces.

If it is a scanned face then I hope there's one for each gender, male and female, and that the CC created faces are still pretty decent in comparison.  

There's a vast gulf between Sheploo and CC faces in ME and it sucks especially if, like me, you don't want the default.

Miranda didn't turn out too great compared to her original model, but generally speaking scanned faces are of better quality than what you can get in the CC (especially without mods). Makes sense that default protags' faces would be scanned.

That female characters face is easily doable in the DAI CC. Doesn't look scanned at all.

If both default characters have scanned faces, does anyone think that they should look similar. It always bugged me that male shepard and female shepard did not look similar, even though they are technically the same person with a different gender. Now don't think that I want them to look identical. Just want them to at least look like there related ie. Same haircolor, eye color, skin tone, and skin complexion. But hey that's just me. Not everyone likes playing the defaults for male and female.

Agreed! When playing the male, I always had to play ythe default model becuase it was impossible to create a decent looking guy in the CC.  I just wanted to change his eye color, but nooooo. Either you get the default, or some round-faced doob.  I hope we have a little more creative freedom with BOTH male and female faces this time around.

The face CC should be pretty OK given that it'll be based on Dragon Age.

The hair is the worry. Hopefully default Ryder will be willing to share, if they've got some good ones.
