Hey, if this old fart can role play as a 30-something kid, surely you 30-something kids can try role playing as a 20-year-old. I think I'm up to the challenge, but when they start asking the PC to change his/her own diapers though, I quit. ![]()

I would think sending younger people would be far more practical. I really can't think of any negatives
1 Live slightly longer and be able to maintain the Colony longer
2They going in hand in hand with one they can have more child over a longer period of time so they can expand and be far more viable

it's more about the player and crew aren't the galaxy's heroes yet at the start, they're noobs. that hasn't got to do anything with age.
I hope this is what they meant because I have to agree with addictress here, I don't want to play younger characters, especially if they give them a childish mentallity. I doubt they will, this is Mass Effect, not a japanese video game where many characters are often teenagers, but I also think BW wants to touch a new kind of public with this game, maybe yournger gamers (I have the feeling we're a lot to have +30 years old here).

I wouldn't feel any emotional investment tbh.
I would not care if any of the cast members lived or died.
*sigh* I want to care
Then care. ![]()
As a "kid" that is born 1990, I haven't had any problem playing a "old" elite soldier that saves the galaxy or a "kid" warden that saved a country.
It is all in your head. maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan
(Also including but not excluding boy, dude, man grandad, girl, Ma'am, lady madam or granny)

If we're supposed to be less experienced, the crew being early to mid 20s makes more sense.
I'm not really sure at what point that's being considered children.

Lack of combat experiences.

Your post in DQ was mysterious as always, so I wasn't sure. But I thought so, so: HAPPY BDAY SERZ. Have a Slivovitz on me. I am still on time!

I can't say the idea of a younger cast bothers me too much, I just hope we're not made saviors. This shouldn't be a group of anime teens saving the day. Old timers should be telling us: shut the f*** up, kid and get the job done.

Oh, as a matter of fact, I am a '95. You just understood differently. What I meant is that I'm born in the year 1995. Misunderstanding ![]()

This is pretty surprising for me cause I thought we would be kind of leading this search for new home, but if we and our squadmates are bunch of noobies that does change things up.

I think of it like this. We're gonna send people up there, who are we gonna send?
Older people, still used to fighting the turians and the krogan? No, because they'll fight them exactly like the turians and krogan. No, you send new people, people who have never seen battle. But you arm them with the best intelligence possible. Which is, use guerilla tactics whenever you can, move like water, be like wind, and if you get caught out in the open you're baked. Andromeda has the numbers to suppress you. I'm sorry, but they do.
Trillions strong against what? Maybe a few hundred thousand?

No, I looked at the post, I forgot an indefinite article, so instead of "a '95" I said just "'95". Contenxtually, I actually wrote that I'm 95 years old ![]()

This is actually correct.
I'm just scared I won't relate to them like I did the original crews

As someone who is 2 years from 30, please don't make me feel creepy hitting on 20-year-old teammates. Please.
Also I don't empathize with children.

Ok other than lack experience, I really can't think of many other big negatives. Also it depends on who they send to really determine if they are in experience.

if you read the article, that's what they mean. the protagonist and his/her team already have plenty of battle experience to kick ass. it's more about their status and experience with making decisions and stuff. It's like Band of Brothers on D-Day.

They are going for another Hawke I take it, which is not a bad thing per se. Yet, Hawke was ~24 at the beginning of the timelne. I'd say anything younger would be a bit off for me. 32, would work just fine - experienced, yet not too old.

The DuncaN7 speculation is starting to look more real now.. He's running the mission, we're the new recruits, but then he's dead and we've got to take over. Worked in DA:O.
