They're my 2nd or 3rd fav race but as of now I see reasons for why they shouldn't be in the game.

- Kepral's Syndrome.  We aren't certain about all the environments of the Andromeda planets.  Should we really be using Ark space for people that can die early due to extra humidity?

- Greatest Drell combatant I know of is an assassin.  Well, Salarian STG (who I believe will be coming along) are also trained for assassinations.

What can the Drell undoubtedly do better than the other MWG races?

If Hanar end up in Andromeda -> Drells were taken with them (probably as butlers or sex toys, but still...).

What can humans do better than any other race? ^^;

I'm concerned that Bioware sees Drells simply as too niche. We have only seen three of them in the games this far and they aren't as important to Milky Way as many others. Still, I'd really hope we will see Drells in the game, they are my favs as well and I think there is lot of them, their race and culture we haven't heard yet.

I don't think Kepral syndrome should be that big as problem. Arc surely has possibility of healthy environments for Drells and it's not like they can't explore humid places at all. It's not simply good place for them to live, but we should be able to find planets with more dry atmospheres too. Also there is no saying that nobody hasn't come up with cure during the time there is between ME:A and ME3.

Going to an entirely new galaxy and various worlds you don't need soldiers what you need is information. Having the drell and frankly any species with a group that revolves around recon and stealth should be a priority over foot soliders for their field of expertise alone. The drell while afflicted with ks are still very powerful operatives, due to their training and field of experience they aren't open to the same punishment as frontline warriors.

If I were leading an expedition into a new world I'd have 40 percent of my forces be reconnaissance, assassination and stealth while having the remaining 60 split betwixt vital assets. Information is a weapon with Incalculable power.

Plus I'd imagine the ark would have the drells on ice to postpone ks and it's effects while in the meantime before awakening have ai develop a cure and obviously as failsafe for the krogans

There were only a few hundred thousand drell left in existence even before the reaper war.

As someone mentioned above, if the hanar are coming along (I expect they will be), then they'll be bringing the drell along with them as muscle.

why would anyone bring hanar along during the startup phase of colonization?

Easy. Their coolness factor is about 100x that of any other MW race.

I think it's a given that every species from the Milky Way will have sent some of its members to Andromeda. It's not just humans trying to colonise Andromeda, everyone else is going to be too. We're bringing everyone along for this ride. I expect even some batarians and vorcha will have weaselled their way onto the voyage

Don't think that's true. The hanar evacuated less than four hundred thousand off Rakhana before the environment collapsed, but that was in the early 21st century. Mass Effect is set (during the original trilogy) near the end of the 22nd. There are millions of drell on Kahje, and a few thousand still on their homeworld.

Many hanar; for religous reasons, don't want to travel too far from home. That said, they do understand the need. They put some fertilized eggs on the arc and send Drell (who still owe them a debt at this point in time) to guard them.

Drell need a new homeworld almost more than anyone else, even if reapers don't win.

I could honestly see Drell being a new major race-if they don't want to focus on the same few.

Even if there's just one drell, I bet they'll be in the game, somewhere.

If not, then, well, yeah, that's disappointing.

I think they will be present in some shape or form, though, personally.

I feel like all the races should have some appearance, even if it is really minor. Regardless of when the arks left the milky way (but especially if it is pre/during the reaper attack), it would be a jerk move to say to the drell, hanar, elcor, etc. that they are being left behind to rot.
