Could our biotics please have the ability to holster their weapons when they fling fire?

I know it's a tiny thing, but I'd really like my Biotic Ryder to be able to put his/her weapons away and then use their powers.  I know its a strange thing, but it looks more real to me to have them using their abilities barehanded.

Also it looks far more badass.

Seems inconvenient to holster your gun every 3 seconds.

I don't see why not.

Pretty much this.

The weapon should be holstered with a holstering button.  Poke that, the weapon goes to the hip or back or where ever, and after that it's all biotics!

There would be no real benefit to holstering your gun for biotics, and you would have the disadvantage of not having a gun to fire while waiting for your biotics to come off cooldown.

You should just give them sunglasses and have them take off their sunglasses whenever they use powers.

What?

NO!

Why would you DISARM yourself (if it's not necessary - biotics NEVER damaged weapons before, so WHY?) to use biotics (or tech-powers)?

Sorry, but that's not a great idea (I like that ME is like Bioshock here, you don't holster your guns in Bioshock either thankfully!)

greetings LAX

agreed I'd rather they hold onto their gun when they use their powers Obviously with tech ones it migh t be different as they become active through your omnitool but Biotics generally are activated by the wave of a hand effectively so no reason to really put your gun away for that as you can just use your other hand to hold it temporarily.

This request reminded me of the Diablo 3 Monk. You run around holding 2 bigass swords (which are essential to your damage) then each time you attack you put them away to throw a flurry of punches. It looked pretty stupid.

That's incredibly silly.

Would be funny if they had a casting system like DAO where some of the spells required you to sheath weapons, and some did not.

Holster weapon button could make a comeback though.  That is if combat and non-combat stuff takes place in the same areas.

If I holster my weapon, how am I to harm my foes during cooldowns? Do I hurl threats? Insults? In the words of Shepard, "I'll be keeping my gun".

I want the ability to draw/holster weapons while I'm exploring like you could do in ME1 (AKA seamless transition between combat/exploration segments) but NOT during combat. I prefer weapon-focused classes anyway.

No holster.  My weapons should levitate menacingly while I churn a singularity into being between my two empty palms.

I really like charging into an enemy and then shooting them/another in the face with my shotgun. Holstering would really cramp my style... and the fun.

It would be worse if we had to stand completly still to even use our biotics like with magic. What would even be the point then?

Don't mind being able to holster when not in combat, though.

They really need to balance this out and give something to the Soldier. I think they should be able to use concussive shot…with their mind.
