I've always liked making characters that represent myself in the original ME trilogy. This is obviously not a big deal, but seeing as I have earrings and an eyebrow ring, the ability to add those to my character would just add some extra personality. Anyone else interested in the idea of being able to have body modifications?

It wouldn't hurt anything, but they're not options I'd ever use. I don't find them believable for a military character. Before the inevitable "we aren't necessarily playing a military character this time" rebuttals arise, yes we are. Stop denying it. You've seen the trailer. That's an Alliance marine in action.

My take is that it's the future. Maybe they've stopped caring about things like that. Also, they're in a whole new galaxy trying to find a new home. I doubt some facial piercings are going to be among the commanding officer's list of priorities.

Meeeeeee too. There aren't enough games that allow you to have such things. I've had my piercings for so long that I kinda just see them as a part of my face. It's always kinda hard to create a character that looks like me without them...

I, too, am quite used to my piercings. Especially the angel bites. That is, until people ask me about them. Can completely forget they're there sometimes!

While I usually stray away from making a character look anything like me, I can certainly see the appeal c;

Offer them, but make declining acceptable (note: Maybe there should be a quest or two where you can get a tattoo? Like in: The Witcher 2, where you can get drunk and tattooed in one quest!) or not using them in the first place (if you are talking character creation!)

I just like to create characters that look me because I like to really immerse myself in the world. I want to feel like I actually am the protagonist. It just helps me to do that if the character looks like me. 

 

Angel bites are cool. My favorite piercing is definitely my eyebrow ring.

Sure, why not? Tattoos are cool, and although piercings aren't really my thing, I see no harm in having them implemented as an option. Freedom in customisation is always an awesome thing to have.

Although given that the BSN has resistance to long hair because it's not "realistic" I can't imagine as those people will like the idea of piercings on the battlefield.
