Sure, but I'd like some NPC's to react negatively.  I doubt the stigma of such things will ever entirely disappear.

Piercings yes but I want tattoos that you can apply to the body not just the face.

It can't be that difficult to add one of six overlays to the pc's body, you'd rarely even see it.

That's what I meant. :)

I was actually thinking about something like this. I imagine a situation where Ryder is asking his/her commanding officer to pull some strings for some reason, and the CO reluctantly agrees, and jokingly says something along the lines of "you owe me. You ALREADY owe me for letting you keep that chunk of metal in your face..."

There's a stigma on tats?   60 year old ladies get them over here.

Everyone has a tattoo nowadays. I don't really think he was referring to the tattoos, though. Piercings may or may not have a negative stigma, but several conservative old people have commented on how my eyebrow ring looks nice, including a few family members, so I feel like people are becoming less sensitive about these things. Whether or not it'll change in the work place is up for debate, but given the gravity of the situation, I feel like Ryder will be able to get away with some things that you normally wouldn't be able to. Like, being in the military and having tattoos and facial piercings.

It depends where on the body.  But even so, there are still some people (thankfully a minority) who are stupid enough to judge solely on preconceived notions and first impressions.  Piercings are kind of what tats were 15-20 years ago...and also depend where on the body.  I want to see a range of personality types, including shallow and stupid people, because it makes the world more believable and immersive.

Yup, the more options the better:

Long hair

Tats

Scars

Beards

Piercings

etc

Let's not forget that Vega had tats.

Just my little contribution

They did that in Saints Row IV and you could still wear full body costumes and armor that would cover most, if not all of the tattoos.

How is taste in art insane? Now i agree that facial tattoos rarely work out well and it looks like the case here but the body tattoo looks absolutely gorgeus.

Well there is art and there is art and to me this is not art but that's my opinion. I saw a couple of weeks ago a woman and she had like a 100 piercings in her face to me that woman is also insane and not normal. And maybe you and others call that art as well but not me.

I vote for tattoos/piercings. I also liked scar-options in ME but what I really would like to see is different body types (a bit OT considering the topic...).

I am cool with it but not sure if the Alliance allow it but jack gave shep a tattoo so maybe.

We're explorers, we can have tattoos. And you can have some tattoos in the military.

I hate seeing them in real life, but people's characters don't affect me, so...

Face tattoos are a no in any case, though.

I'm not really into face tattoos, like in Dragon Age, but I'm for earrings and torso tattoos. So yeah.

I'm getting tattoos in real life so I want my game character to have em too. Hopefully restricted to some parts considering it would be impractical to look like something that belong in the art institute.
