I'd like to suggest the following class / weapon specialization for Dragon Age 4:
Wield a one-handed (or one-and-a-half-handed) sword, without off-hand (dagger, shield, etc.).
On a side-note, spear (+ shield) would be a welcome addition. Polearms are underrepresented in most games.
This is something I find missing in most fantasy RPGs. Most games have either Sword + Shield, Sword + Dagger, Sword + Sword, or Two-handed Sword.
If you look to most fantasy novels (most well know, probably The Wheel of Time, and Lord of the Rings), the sword masters here wields a blade meant for one- to one-and-a-half hand ("bastard" sword). You rarely see the lumbering two-handed blades. Mostly they are represented as axes or mauls.
I'd like to play a swift, nimble, one-handed sword master. A middle-ground of rogue and warrior. Light to medium armor, fast, parrying, etc. Without having to gimp the game, and play on easy just to not be killed within half an attack
