Last I heard it was now spring 2017, not 1st quarter 2017, thus spring could be up to June 19th I believe.

March still counts as spring, and the last financial meeting from EA specified that it would come before April 1st.  That's not to say that it might not be delayed a few weeks, but at the moment, March is still the most likely candidate.

I got worried when BioWare didn't really show much gameplay.

Then I heard Mac Walters' interview and found comfort in his words.

I don't think the game will release any later than March 31st.

You guys picking apart the "spring" thing are cracking me up. I live in the US, not quite at the same latitude as the MEA crew, but in their regional neighborhood. When we say "spring" here on the US side of the border, we're talking about March. February is winter, and March is when winter quits kicking our asses (generally).

Relax. They want this game released in Fiscal Q4, March 2017. That hasn't changed.

As to why we didn't see more, I suspect their textures aren't ready, based upon that plastic doll of a protagonist. I have no idea what else might not be ready, but I know they wouldn't want the big reveal to be summed up by "OMG! The graphics suck!", so they chose to wait. I hope their "polishing" works.

You're getting in the way of a perfectly good conspiracy theory. What is to say this is not an elaborate cover up by Bioware, and the truth is we won't see this for years, if it hasn't been cancelled already? Eh? EH?

Also, Area 51 has alien corpses, the moon landing was a fake and climate change is a communist plot.

10months to complete the game is a LOOONG time.

^ Yeah, especially if it's true what Mac said - they just need to polish, polish, polish only.

Not really; games can be in the polishing phase for a year or more.  There are probably still thousands (if not 10s of thousands) of bugs to squash, and the animators have got to animate like 2 or maybe 3 ordinary games worth of cutscenes (it looks like they're doing custom animation for faces, not the kind of thing they did in the previous games)

They haven't shown anything.
That is a far cry from spoiling things for fans. Fans have clearly said they wanted to see more at E3. They have given next to nothing. Thus has people concerned on how far the game is really finished.

they have givgen us a liitle moer info plus a trailer so we can't complain. As they've confirmed that our character's naqme is Ryder and that we have a family with us this time. What exactly that means I can only speculate but certainly it's moer than what we had before.

I doubt it's gonna be a Jan release. They would've showed more at E3 if that was the case.

I feel like it'll be 2018. For some reason a lot of games seem to be migrating toward that year (both confirmed and unconfirmed such as Red Dead 3 and Visceral's Star Wars). Then there's the fact that not much has been shown in the way of footage. One could argue that they aren't wanting to hit us with spoilers, but really, couldn't they show us close to ten minutes worth of content without spoiling anything? I dunno, feels pretty dicey to me. We'll know for sure in a few months though, as Bioware tends to show off a bit of gameplay a few months from release (think the Hinterlands video as an example; fairly certain that was a few months before release). 2017 would be great though.

right now I'd asy it's stil to early to give one yes but I'd expect they will announce one during the latter end of this year Autumn/Winter time assuming they stick to the Q1 2017 window. I'd suspect a March release but anywhere between Jan-Mar is feasible I think. Depends on how well the polishing up goes.
