I want to bring them all. Picking your crew is a hard choice especially in ME3 it went crazy you had like 19 to pick from and you ended up only picking the 2 you liked and most of them went completely unutilized. I wish for a smaller more intimate crew and even a smaller ship a more cozy feel to it. and more quality of companions instead of quantity. and maybe just maybe we can bring all our crew with us unless story says differently. I hate to have to pick which ones to bring.

Your wish is granted, roster is smaller.

Also, to put a positive spin on it: Look at it as getting to leave behind the ones you don't like, rather than having to choose between the ones you do.

I'd like that, too (or at least take 4 instead of 2 as most special forces teams aren't only 3 members...squads tend to be larger!)

Note: There's people I don't take normally (which is kind of sad, too) because I seldom take pure soldiers (people with powers are much more versatile and IMHO interesting!)...so this might help me there, too :)

It is very "gamist" that we only bring 2 of our highly qualified companions on our highly dangerous ventures, but you have to think of game balance. It's already far too easy to trounce these games with just those two cohorts offering whatever assitance their AI deems to allow. If we could bring more of our crew, our protagonist wouldn't even get to fire a shot or use a power. The squaddies would mow down everything with their "support fire".

The entire game would need to be redesigned around larger squad combat if we could ring more allies. Imagine having all of that firepower at your disposal, in terms of powers? I can't imagine the game being challenging at all.

In ME3 you could have 7 companions to choose from excluding DLC, and the rumour is that it's another 7 for ME:A.

I like small teams. Even if we ignore the fact that controlling more than two squad members would be difficult to implement without some sort of pause-and-play, tactical camera and/or direct control of squad members (which i'm not really interested in for ME), a smaller squad means the people you take can have more involvement in the mission and unique dialogue. It also adds to the replay value; different Ryders running with different crews is all part of the role-play.

I get it though. Some times I agonize over who I should take on a mission; especially if I'm playing it for the first time.

Just give us more enemies (yes: You'd have to at least tripple their numbers (if not more) and let them use flanking etc.)...but maybe they tried that and it didn't work right (flow of gameplay etc.)?

I'd like to bring 3 'mates instead of the usual 2.

I think it is fun picking squadmates for missions in bioware games.  It's always interesting to try to balance variety, who is most useful, and who is most interesting to bring along for story reasons.

I'd like to see more occasions when the rest of the squad plays a supporting role. They could launch diversionary or flanking attacks, secure positions behind us, cut off the enemy's retreat or go after secondary targets.

I do have to say, this was one of the great moments in the series to me.

I'd like the choice of going solo like in DA

Problem for me is that less quantity doesn't necessarily mean more quality. For example if you had cut ME2 crew from 10-12 (with DLC characters) to 6 for example there is pretty high change my favorite Mass Effect characters; Thane, Kasumi and Legion might have got cut out. It wouldn't have mattered how much more time Bioware could have put into Miranda, Jacob, Grunt etc. cause I wouldn't be interested. Different people like different characters. My concern is that with smaller crew there is less characters to like which lowers quality of whole game to me.

Then bring the all. It's your choice.
