No, seeing as how the entire galaxy is stuck in the space-exploration equivalent of the dark ages.  Thank Mac.

Do scientists know if the milky way is visible from Andromeda? If so it would be emotional to have it there and you get off the Mako in your spacesuit and look at it. Not in a dramatic cutscene but in the normal sky, like the moon and the earth in ME1.

I expect we'll return to the Milky Way at some point in a future game. Not for a while, though.

Even though the Andromeda setting could be interesting, I do hope Bioware eventually creates a sequel set in the Milky Way. By then the game will probably be at least a decade out from ME3, so it is unlikely to kick up the embers from the ending controversy. Most people buying the game would have been kids when ME3 released.

Of course in order to have a sequel in the Milky Way, Bioware would probably have to go with the outcome of a single ending choice.

First off, we're shown that the relays were repaired in every ending, so that already pokes a hole in this reasoning.

Second off, you really think the galaxy wouldn't eventually come up with an alternative to the relays in that time period, if they were permanently destroyed?

Andromeda is set longer than a decade after ME3

What Han said.

Those who went to Andromeda must wonder about what happened to their home galaxy.

Han's talking about real world time. It will already have been 5 years since ME3 by the time we're playing Andromeda. That seems crazy, as much as I still play ME3 (the whole trilogy, to be clear).

Edit: double, or even triple-ninja'd

I doubt it. The reason we're going to Andromeda at all is to avoid having to deal with the consequences of the original trilogy endings.

Good old Bioware!  Shoving the crap under the rug!  Out of sight, out of mind!

That's an unfair assumption.

Fixed that for you.  Regardless of the ending, BioWare would have had to deal with three games of variables in the Milky Way.

Hell, they couldn't even handle the variables going from ME1 to ME2, hence why we got the two-year time jump and the idiocy of "Ah yes, Reapers".

To keep the franchise alive in the long run (books, movies, comics, series..) the Milky Way issue should be resolved someday. They probably will choose destroy as canon someday, but further in the future, when most fans will be like 'Yeah, thanks for resolving that' instead of 'My choice should matter'. When they pack it with a honest 'Sorry, we painted ourselves in a corner, we need to do this for the franchise we all love', I think there shouldn't be too much outrage,

You're a seer now Heimdall?

Tell me, what's the ending of ME:A?

The problem is the confusion they'll cause by having a sequel set hundreds of years after the original and that sequel's sequel sent only a decade after the original. Timelines are going to get all confusing and would be like retconning Andromeda which is supposed to be set hundreds of years after. I understand why they've taken the decision they have, nonetheless it is still the biggest cop out in order to deal with the biggest **** up in gaming history.
