Hey guys n' gals.
I suggest you check out gamermd83's take on ME:A plot, I must say this is quite a good speculation on the probable plot.
What are your thoughts on this?
My thoughts are we need (way) more info.
Which we won't get until N7 Day...

And N7 day is about 4 1/2 almost 5 months away. Bioware needs to get off the schneid and and start showing us stuff. Don't friggin make us wait until November.

I'm 100% sure they don't even read those forums... otherwise they would have known we want some damn ME:A gameplay footage shown...

Yeah at the very least. I understand them wanting to keep important story stuff under wraps but they could show us some gameplay.
Yeah! I think she's fairly on point with the stuff about N7 guy.
wrote elsewhere today,
getting off-topic and wider-focus and more baseless there at the end of course with the speculating on the rest of PC Ryder's team, but yeah.
Meh. I used to check out her vids a few years back but I picked up on the fact that she gushes at anything Mass Effect (such as that behind-the-scenes trailer with Casey a few E3's ago). It seems she has a hard time looking at anything objectively.

Eh I like her. She is just a very enthusiastic fan and sometimes she has interesting insight. She isn't trying to be objective and that is fine. Hell I am never objective.

Great video (I watch her, too she's so damned nerdy and that's damned cool!)
I still hope that they DON'T go the family story route (It didn't work in Fallout 3 and 4 (the main story in both games is boring, partly because of having to look for father/son...(I at least don't have emotional ties to either so I couldn't care less...it would be another thing if either really betrayed me/left me for dead somewhere or something then my motivation would be anger!))...I'd love to have family somewhere (the Sheppard route - especially spacer (don't use any other origins, ever...I just like this one!) - where your mom is a successful captain in the Alliance military and sometimes sends you e-mail!)
As for there being (human!) shuttle wrecks and partially established settlements: I'd say they are sequentially waking people (only as many as are currently needed to not stretch food-supplies etc.) and some infrastructure is already there when you are woken (you are a scout and they only need you IMHO when they've already established at least a first colony!)
Leaving Earth during the war? Why does the planet shown have to be Earth? (could be an Asari/Salarian/Turian colony world (they have some which are as developped as Earth after having been inhabited for CENTURIES!) That the Alliance Fleet is there in force is easily explainable: They've lost all of human space (the Sol-System is occupied, Arcturus has been destroyed etc.) so they are pretty mobile (and can be used to saveguard important projects: Crucible and the Ark(s)) and don't have to defend territory!
Also: If those Arks were stationed above Earth (and left before the Reapers moved in) then somebody would have seen them (not visiually but on their ships instruments!)!
I still think Shepard didn't know (if he did he'd not be that down because he knew that even if they failed humanity and the other races wouldn't be doomed!)!
I'd love to know where they got the tech (if the ships are basically moving relays then they probably took apart the conduit (other relays are probably not easy to study!))
I still don't like the family name Ryder...(reminds me of Knight Rider that TV-Show with David Hasselhoff which I liked as a teen but wouldn't watch again now probably...or I might because I already know it...)
N7 as the enemy? I hope not (if they want human enemies: Bring back Cerberus (from the time TIM wasn't totally bonkers and started reaperizing his troops/kidnapping people to reaperize!), at least they had a good motive (only their methods were questionable and/or immoral!))
I also don't agree that the last games from Bioware were "brilliant" (the last brilliant game was Mass Effect 2! Sure, Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age: Inquisition weren't really crappy, but they weren't up to their usual standard either IMHO and Mass Effect 3 was a total disaster (linearity, disregarded choices, bad artsy endings etc.))
Still, all in all a great trailer analysis ![]()
greetings LAX
Opinions.
Well to sum up, she talks Plan B escape scenario which seems to be increasingly unlikely one considering no effort to hide the construction of the Arks and the fact the Earth isn't burning in any way, it's just city lights. So I'm guessing scientific expedition "because we have too much cash and wanna see Andromeda"
Good video! She makes some interesting suggestions - for instance, the possibility that the settlements are already established and what that may imply, or the handy anatomy lesson - and I'd agree that it's very possible the N7 guy is the antagonist. I don't agree with her whole "plan B" conjecture, though, and I feel that part of the video could do with some editing. That said, I liked that her freewheeling speculation emphasised some parts of the trailer that I hadn't thought of, and made me think of some new interpretations.
I've been subscribed to her since ME3 came out and I really like her energy and passion for the games and things she's into.
Anywho, whilst I really don't want the Andromedon expedition to be "plan B", her point about the design of the Ark Ships being inspired by the Citadel/ Relays got me thinking - what if the Ark Ships end up being stationed throughout the Helius Cluster as checkpoints and civilian hubs, whilst also functioning as Mass Relays?
She's way too much of a fangirl for me, and this video is really just baseless conjecture that doesn't line up with what we know. It's more fanfic than analysis.
I like her and why DOES the Tempest have an N7 paint job when Ryder isn't N7? ~makes X-File noise~

Maybe the N7 guy was supposed to be in command but something happened and Ryder took command. I've seen some speculation that the N7 guy might turn heel which could make things interesting.

Yeah, that was one of the things I hadn't seen pointed out before. Could it possible that the ship was owned by the N7 guy (we see him use it in the E3 2015 trailer after all) and Ryder "borrows" it? This of couse, is if the N7 guy is the antagonist.
