Lot of people cringing whenever things revolve around humans.

I take it we have lotta introverts here since it a message board who aren't people persons?

I find it cheesy and overdone. A lot of times it doesn't even make sense and just feels far fetched.

What is humanity, outside of 'All of the humans'? What does it stand for? Where is this mythical race of united righteous humans who deserve better for having overcome their differences?

I never see them. Nor am I even told about them. Its just assumed, that I will assume that's the case.

The Krogan were united in the push to enslave the Asari and conquer the galaxy.

No we don't want everything to revolve around humans because when you are doing a space opera set in a galaxy spanning civilization it is way more interesting when we are just one of many different space faring species.  If I wanted everything to be about humans I would play a game set in a boring contemporary setting.
