So the actual quote in the interview is:
Cut content is a reality of any major game, so the fact that things were cut isn't itself any indication of problems. The thing about the "just take the extra time you get everything you want" is that the game would take ages to finish if it did that. Most developers always feel like there's something more they could add that they would rather not cut, but they have to for the sake of actually ever releasing a finished product.
It's better to judge the game based on what we get rather than what they originally had planned out.
This, and by the way, that's exactly why I am perfectly fine with not getting a lot of information at this point. Better to let the devs work in pesce and give them the freedom to change things and to adjust without worrying about stuff that has basically already been reviewed by the public because it worked in a 5 minute trailer segment.
I mean, in principle, I am withe the OP, I'd also rather wait longer than have a rushed game (and I'd not complain if they pushed release back even further, if that's what they think they need) but with over 4 years of dev time, I don't think ME:A is in danger of that, at least not according to the info we have a this point. We'll only know for sure when the game is out of course.
