Article on mass Effect Wiki

With this, it's actually make sense why Humans would be in charge of this operation now.

Pretty sure it's irrelevant.

It doesn't have a straight link to MEA but it means that Humans have the necessary expiriens to perform such expedition.

I find these little "irrelevant" tidbits in the Wiki very interesting... especially since we've all pretty much dismissed them as being totally irrelevant... but if they were meant to be so much irrelevant babble... why did Bioware bother with writing them at all?  We'll all find out when ME:A is released... and perhaps some of this stuff is much more relevant than we ever dreamed it was.

Pretty sure it's irrelevant.

it was relevant to point to before when people were poking holes in cryo/stasis sleep-to-Andromeda speculation because it highlighted a place in the lore where humans had some form of that technology, even well before Shepard's time.

It comes from Cerberus Daily News.  I actually thought the little news articles were pretty cool back in the day.

I remember reading up on this. There was another interesting one where they discovered a ship with it's population living in a virtual reality, and the species wanted to get back out of VR and swap places with anyone willing or sth.

You make a good point.

Traveling 4 ly is not the same as traveling 2.5 million...but I get your point, one reason to go to Andromeda is simply to explore it.

But I guarantee you that this is not the motive bioware will choose. The ark is most likely a Reaper contingency plan.
