I'm a bit out of the loop, Bioware is working on a new IP?
Also, Mass Effect: Andromeda will be the start of a new series you can count on it. Mass Effect isn't going anywhere soon, and good thing too!

Yes they are.
Here's the twitter thread.

I don't mind, i would support MP only content for another 2-3 years and even pay for it.
Just tell Bioware that SP folks will never be satisfied so why bother, just release DLC for MP. Keep the server up and people will play MP for 5 or 6 years to come.
I hope it will become like Call of Duty, people buy older Call of Duty because there is an active comunity playing the game years after years, what will keep Mass Efect alive is the people in MP.

I love how much you devalue the SP players.....you couldn't have sounded more ridiculous.
I wish it ended with ME2.
Can't say I would've liked that…you know….what with ME3 being better and all ![]()
Yeah, not all ME games have 3 colored endings LOL.Can't say I would've liked that…you know….what with ME3 being better and all
You are a gentlewoman and a scholar.....and I swear to not spread those dirty rumors. ![]()
Best way to make sure it's not the last game is to buy a copy and show there is still interest in future titles, money speaks louder than anything.

Yes. Casey Hudson's new IP, made primarly by ME Edmonton team (MEA is made primarly by Montreal). They showed microscopic glimpes of it at E3 2014 together with first glimpses of MEA, but since then it was pure scilence.

Isn't Casey with Microsoft now, though?
Either way, looking forward to more ME and the new IP. They'll probably drop hints about the new IP closer to next year's E3 if they don't do a teaser on N7 day. Same with if they've got another Dragon Age in the oven, it'd let them stagger releases so they wouldn't have as long a time between games so they stay visible to the populace.

Yes, Casey left since then. Suppousedly main concept for new IP is done though.
Based on what they said about it, it *seems* new IP will be contemprary-ish and online-ish (I would guess Destiny/Division sense) but that's basically all you can get out of it so far.

Hopefully they learned a good bit when they did the ME3 multiplayer and use some of the best stuff from that. It'd be cool if it were a modern day semi wild west-ish feel.
I doubrt it'll be the last one as the series is very popular. No tto mention there aren't many if any games that are like it as wI've saqid before on here so I think ME's future is safe for now unless of course Andromeda ends up bombing but I don't think that's going to hsappen based on what we know so far about it. I think they'l ljust alternate between DA and ME whereby they release a DA and a few DLC's then an ME and a few DLC's then go back to DA and do another game for that before coming back to ME and so on and so forth This IP is likely just an entirely seperate project most likely an MMO or something like the Old Republic. That's my theory anyway.
Weird because here I was hoping it would be.
I suspect Mass Effect is their most successful IP and is extremely open ended so I cannot see why they would stop.
As long as the money keeps coming in, the games will keep coming out.
The franchise withstood ME3, so MEA is unlikely to kill it.
Hopefully Mass Effect: Andromeda will be the last Mass Effect game set in Andromeda.
I hate youWeird because here I was hoping it would be.
Wouldn't make sense.Hopefully Mass Effect: Andromeda will be the last Mass Effect game set in Andromeda.
Wouldn't make sense.
Whether or not it makes sense really depends on the story. It can have its own completely self-contained plot that doesn't have a sequel hook, so while the writers could very well leave themselves open for more games, they could create this game with no real necessity to make more because of unresolved plot threads.
Hopefully Mass Effect: Andromeda will be the last Mass Effect game set in Andromeda.
The one after that will be called Mass Effect Pinwheel.
It's not necessary to be a trilogy again.
Bioware are free to make another games and they are able to create them.
It's good to explore new worlds.
One day Mass Effect and Dragon Age will rest and we will have a new game to play.
They spent all this time just to waste it on one game? I think not.Whether or not it makes sense really depends on the story.
