We clearly need a separate thread for all kinds of food chat, as they sneak in all other threads. Perhaps with a separate dedicated topic, we keep the other threads open for longer. :)

It's already known that some gamers play drunk, or high, some are teetotallers, some run on caffeine.

What do you eat, as a ME3 MP player, in general?

What do you eat or drink while gaming - or perhaps nothing?

added: To cheese or not to cheese, that is the question. Do cheese in nutrition and cheesing in game go hand in hand? ;)  Or having mash, and mashing enemies?  Is an asari the apple of your eye only?

Food is for the weak.
Food distracts me from playing MP.
Food is bad as money; we need it.

Not after I'm done with them. Then they return as zombies to play ME3 forever, you see them to this day and make threads about them

Me, I am all over the place food wize.  I refuse to eat vegetables.  ever or any kind. I love tomato sauce and I hate tomatoes. For breakfast, usually a few pieces or toast w strawberry jam and a variety of regular fruit..oranges, nectarines..... lunch..depends..sometimes I either take or go out with some of my employees to get something   but .most of the time I just bring a turkey sandwich and something on the side... dinner consists of beer,    ME3MP and whatever happens next...I usually make something during the time Im playing so it will be ready when I am done......pasta and chicken have been dominating my menu as of late......I replaced the meatballs I normally have with my spaghetti with chicken, shredded chicken and I add a little more garlic that I usually do...uggghh.... delectorius..in all of its glory.

I eat molten lava. They're great.

But I've found out drinking chemical free beer and wine while playing ME3mp greatly reduces or removes hangover status the next day. Freeing up my systems to better carry pugs the next morning too.

I make as much of my own stuff as possible.  I scoff at the packets of chemical-laden "Guacomole Mix" proudly on display above the avocados - I have all the guacomole mix I'll ever need right on top of my stove.  "Smoothie Mix"?  It's all right there in the produce section, ready to wash and drop into the blender with some chocolate almond milk.  Bread with 50 ingredients?  Leave 44 of them at the door, I bake my own with no more than 6.

When I make wraps, I put so much spinach, tomatoes, cheese, beans, and guacamole, that there's hardly any room left for the beef or pork.

Salads start with a bowl of olive oil, some powdered garlic, onion, pepper, pinch of salt, organic mayo, basil and oregano, stir that all up and add spinach, tomatoes, ham, shredded cheese, bleu cheese.

I have a great recipe for homemade pizza sauce, which simmers on the stove for an hour while the breadmaker is busy making a batch of fresh pizza dough.  This sauce also goes great on spaghetti noodles.  If it's for spaghetti, I'll heat up a smaller pot with a ladle of noodle water, a spoonful of powdered milk, some shredded cheese, tablespoon of Earth Balance organic butter, over a low heat to make an optional cheese sauce topping.

Sometimes I just throw a bunch of stuff in the pot together with a potato or two and see what happens.

Frozen veggies are steamed with a two-pot contraption that doesn't let the veggies actually touch the water below.

Don't use much sugar, but when I do it's organic cane sugar and not that GMO beet sugar crap.

I don't eat any fast food at all.  Unless I'm on a road trip to East Coast Maryland.  I can make the trip nonstop in 6 hours, but if I ride with a buddy he stops so much it takes 9 or 10 hours.  In that case, I'll eat Subway, but only then.

The reason I just wanted to make another thread about all this food stuff, is to avoid getting other threads locked if they get too derailed. No idea if it'll stay here or work, but had to try. ;)

SassaMFG's tarts (torte?) look good, and similar to some of our salty/savoury pies/quiches.

And Nightman's garlic-chicken-spaghetti sounded really good -- already thought that when you mentioned it in some earlier thread.

Bauzabauza; never had horchata de Arroz (rice drink, says google) beffore, but looks like something I'll def try.

It's always intersting to read about the different foods people in their respective countries like and eat - and we're a culturally diverse bunch right on this forum. Might find something new and intriguing to try! But I'm a nerd, also a food nerd, so that's my excuse.

I usually operate on caffeine after waking up, then move onto water. A glass of an oat-based drink, Oatly, has become a staple here.

Definite must-haves for gaming, too.

Can't wait for the apple harvest early autumn, so can have organic, fresh, pressed apple juice from our own apples.

Someone was pointing out the cheeses in another thread, and lactose intolerance. I'll answer here if they happen to read this:

hard, matured cheeses are lactose free naturally, as most of the lactose is turned into lactic acid by curdling and the aging process, in short. So swiss, emmental, edam, gouda, parmesan, etc. are safer choices. Gimme some parmigiano reggiano with wheatfree pasta any day.

I'm lactose intolerant, as well. It's the fresher soft ones that I can't handle, unless they've been processed to be lactose free / very low-lactose. There are other things in cheeses that don't suit some people, I recall having some casein related discussion sometime earlier.
