I drink Pu Erh Chinese tea, apparently harvested from a 300 years old tree in Yunnan in China. I mean the tea is hot but when drank, you can feel a coolness down the oesophagus,,, However, that still didn't stop me from smashing the keyboard when my Krogan Vanguard just stood there being picked up by the banshee. Nothing can be done when there is lag.

The reason I just wanted to make another thread about all this food stuff, is to avoid getting other threads locked if they get too derailed. No idea if it'll stay here or work, but had to try.
Bauzabauza; never had horchata de Arroz (rice drink, says google) beffore, but looks like something I'll def try.
hay de arroz y de coco, pero prefiero la de arroz ñ_ñ

Very much agreeing with Wheeljerk. Your food sounds ideal.
No fastfoods or fizzy drinks eaten here, either. Oh yeah, and it's mostly Arkhne who is the cook here, except for some traditional Finnish dishes and tortillas.
I cringe at the so-called quacamole at shops, here it's also labeled as 'quacamole style'.. what the..?! Often including a whopping 0.4% avocado.
jajajajaja todo sabe mejor con tortillas y salsa de habanero, el "guacamole" así se le llama en el barrio al preparado de aguacate con especias y otras cosillas

I usually don't like to eat anything while playing, since I don't like to snack and if I am eating I tend to concentrate solely on it (occasionally I might read something while eating, but that's it). It's more of a habit I've picked over the years, rather than a conscious choice though.
Drinking however, that's a different story. Coffee and water are constants while I am playing, but sometimes I've known to drink beer while playing (cheap domestic lager mostly, if I am at home, but I haven't yet tasted a beer type I didn't like). I don't mind a glass of wine here and there either. I like almost everything, but If I buy for myself, I prefer full-bodied reds, but I sometimes I get craving for a dry sparkling wine. From hard liquors I tend to stick with brown ones, like whisky (it's all good, as long as it isn't Canadian). As well as cognac, calvados and dark rum (I have a particular weakness for that nectar of the gods called Havana Club 7). I have strange affection for Jaloviina (it's a Finnish drink which is mixture of vodka and cognac). If I happen to have ingredients I don't mind doing simple mixed drinks, like gin tonics and nothing beats mojito or mint julep made from a homegrown mint (moved to a house with fairly sized yard couple years ago. Been trying to grow stuff with varying degree of success ever since). When I was younger I used to work quite a lot as a bartender and waited tables, and while learning the trade I also learned to appreciate the good stuff.
I guess, I went on a tangent there, but I think the point is that I don't snack because it's like unhealthy. ![]()

Ooo coconut rice drink, that i'd really try. Not sold here of course, but I saw actual recipes of making your own horchata (12h process but hey).
I almost spilt my coffee laughing at the melon slaughter house.
...Come to think of it, that looks delicious!
Mikael_Sebastia, that sounds so Finnish
I should know.. However, I never could stand the Jaloviina stuff. I think also my earlier years as weekend bartender pouring jallukola after jallukola* just made even the smell offputting. ![]()
*) 4cl Jaloviina (that cut cognac/brandy+vodka mix) +coke, once a very popular drink here.

I'm drinking Soya milk and eating oatmeal/natural yogurt with berrires when playing. Usually for between the time for my eckwbawks to load and waiting for PUG or will soon have dinner
Other then that i make myself a sandwich with toast white bread, sliced roast beef and mustard. It's quick to do, fill the stomach quite well if you play for longer hours at night.

I don't eat when I'm playing, for one it gives you sticky hands and I hate sticky controllers. Secondly I like having my hands free to eat and don't wanna bother with having to play while I'm eating. Neither do I get high while gaming, I like being sober and rational while I play and instead prefer that for a more crowded setting.
As for food in general, mostly the usual stuff although I think I have a pretty diverse diet. I do soda occasionally and eat fast food but not all that much. I love coffee and especially enjoy that gourmet **** but never drink it regularly since I don't like the caffeine dependency. Also more of a wine person than a beer lover (although beer is always nice) and in that I prefer red to white. I eat plenty of meat and seafood especially fish, mussels and prawns. Also one of my favorite things to do when travelling is to sample the local food and delicacies.
When I'm not playing the video games with my bowl of carrots next to me it's usually hummus and pita, or some form of salad (more along the lines of tabbouleh, however, as opposed to the sort of "lettuce with a little rubbery bits of carrot" deal you find in supermarkets around here). I've been trying to learn how to make a lot of traditional middle-eastern cuisine lately which is sometimes kind of difficult because living out in rural bumfuck US of A means ingredients can be hard to find at the local stores. I don't eat pre-packaged foods or fast food, nor do I drink soda.
I really love middle eastern food! And even though my experience has been kinda limited in variety, I've liked almost everything I've eaten! Especially Al Faham, the grills and kefta not to mention SHAWARMA!! And while not strictly food, a shisha is a pretty good way to hang out.

I try and make my own food when I can
Im always making bread and pizzas... I also make sweet things too like cakes and cookies... one thing ive kinda made that sounds weird but works is carrot and ginger muffins... I was gonna make mini carrot cakes a few days ago but I had some ginger too so I decided to put some in (its been a long time since I stopped measuring ingredients
) and it totally works!
I occasionally eat a cookie while I play... because cookies are the happiest food in the world
I think pancakes are a close second
Earlier I had a sandwich... but that was after I played
I take measurements as "suggestions", and will happily double or even triple some ingredients, and usually just approximate the rest.

↑Working up north, bout a month after the arctic survival pics in BtM, was at a place called Camp DO27. The food was unbelievable. We're out in the middle of nowhere literally, and they had tonnes of great food. Even had a steak and lobster night. Anyways, they had a huge rack full of bins, and those bins were free-for-all. One of those bins contained nothing but beef jerky. I loved that bin.

Aside from steak...
I used to be a pizza, fast food and Red Bull kinda guy (still like Red Bull) but in the last couple years I've fallen in love with salmon.
Be carefull with the **** they put in salmon breeding pools. Really tons of unhealthy stuff

I m really wanting a mint julip now !
As for Cognac, i thought it had almost disappeared from the earth surface but in france.
CaLvados too
, well i thought it never went out of calvados (it s my living zone now)
I should pitch in too
Yesterday i cooked for the family stopping by for the day :
Salad from the garden (top organic olive oil, good modene balsamic vinegar, salt)
Barbecued Beef Rib (i think i have found my way of rosting it this time)

WIth my brother's top red wine, côte du roussillon 2008
We had among other cheese, a perfect livarot and a calvados matured camembert ...
evening meal was a vegetable tajine topped with an apple pie
After all that i was ready for some reapa action all night !!!
(joking, bed was the next stop)
