You had a lot of complaints about this fact in the previous games. This is one more!
I've always wanted to play your games on my 2000€+ Gaming Rig and yet, i'm still stuck on this mouse and keyboard for the older versions. Don't waste my experience with your awesome game, add a pad support for US playing at our monsters pc!
We want to abuse that epic graphic quality along with a pretty stable and smooth framerate, but we also want to play it with comfort.
Pc version needs it! Make us happy!

Agreed :) I can't imagine a big ole RPG type PC game not coming with controller support these days though. I won't be buying it if it doesn't because... I literally can't play it. No where to put a keyboard and mouse in my living room.

and yet on the flip side consoles are beginning to implement keyboard & mouse controls.

I don't understand the act of playing a shooter with a controller. You aim better with the mouse.

Controllers are good for analogic changes of direction, for example car games.

Just google a wrapper or something if playing with a keyboard and mouse bothers you that much. I hear DS4Windows is alright, and x360ce is still very popular.

I guess a controller allows couch play, but otherwise KBM is the superior choice.

For you.

The superior choice is always the HID that you are most experienced with. I've been playing with controllers for 20+ years and I play every PC game with one even if there is no native support.

Why the point-and-click nazis don't get this is beyond me and I'm tired of hearing it.

To be fair, trying to use a gamepad in an ONLINE PC shooter is tantamount to K/D ratio suicide. Trust me, I learned this the hard way.

But in a single player game it shouldn't matter.  I've been using a gamepad my whole life.  Not about to change now.

I'd rather have a well done PC-Interface and controls - sorry, but it's a PC! If I want to use a gamepad I am going to buy a console damned (note: Just my opinion, I grew up with the PC...had my first one with about 7 years and I've never owned a console and don't plan to get one (those few exclusive titles aren't worth it, as much as I'd like to play another Halo for example!))

ps: Can't hit the front side of a barn with a controller (even less so if I am being shot at!)...the only thing that's playable with a controller (IMHO) are games like Mario Kart :)

pps: You have a 2000 EURO gaming rig but want to use a controller? Sorry, but you made me laugh...mouse and keybord (if well implemented!) are much more precise (and: You've got more buttons - if they utilize them...no "one-button-to-rule...oh, sorry: to-do it all" necessary (and frankly: having that pissed me off in ME3, then again: that game wasn't all that great anyway!))...shooting with a controller is much slower (even pro-gamers prefer mouse and keyboard in FPS games (no: ME isn't FPS, but it's got shooter-mechanics!))

Expressing an opinion in a forum is quite similar to killing six million jews. I believe this is measured and fair.

It's a metaphor genius and I'm hardly the first person to use it in this context. Not even the one millionth. Look it up in the dictionary.

Because despite being the "Master race" they still need to rely on console based technology.

I will have to respectfully disagree, I play better and faster with a great controller. I can aim better and faster. For me playing with a keyboard and mouse one of the many reasons why I will stopped playing games on PC.

Edit, because I misread the context.

I will second that the modded game pad controls are flawless for the original trilogy. Unfortunately, it took those years to be completed and perfected, and there's no guarantee we'll be able to do that in frostbite. Mapping programs are universally mediocre to terrible.

No controller support for PC would be a massive goddamn oversight. Thankfully, I know they wouldn't do something so silly.

...right?

If they do add controller support I'll just be here waiting for people to complain that they added controller support.

We had people complaining when they added storage space in Dragon Age: Inquisition after all.

Or we appreciate the ability to utilize a variety different input methods. That's one of the perks of playing on a platform that isn't completely closed. Options all over the place to improve the experience based on our preferences. As opposed to consoles, where you're permitted to do everything one way, oh and hey you're also locked at 900p, k?

"Console based technology" is pretty funny, though.

Considering DAI's example, I hope they make a full support for KB/M type controls first.

Whatever you're used to, is what you understand/like.

I have multiple uber rigs with mech KBs and many a great mouse, yet many games I choose to use my X1/X360 controller as I love playing on my couch with my big ass TV.  Mass Effect is one of these games, it's a 'lounging' game for me, aka I love to relax, Shepard it up and sip on my single malt whilst playing from my couch.  I'm also a console gamer from way back, more so than PC, so controller feels 'right' for me for many types of games, including some FPS.  Accuracy does not equal comfort, and sometimes you are willing to lose a little accuracy to feel comfortable whilst gaming.

The mods do a very admirable job of replicating the controller gameplay of the consoles, but there are a few quirks that make them not quite the same experience. Surely Andromeda will come fully loaded with controller support: Inquisition on PC had great controller mapping.

.... I'm already annoyed that ME1/2/3 have console-centric controls even for PC...spacebar for action/running/vaulting/cover...  -_______-
