It creates the splash damage you see when BE's occur. Unshielded enemies will usually die within a few meters of the target or almost dead(depending if they had full shields), and armored units may depending how many bars they have left
Start a Gold match with either Warp evolution and you should see it if you already havent since you been playing
4b is what lets a Biotic team just wreck everything that surrounds the intended target when combos are going off all the time
Well I've always been playing with 4b, just to get the damage bonus
