I wouldn't worry about quite noob players going Reegaring or cheesing. If it gets them even a bit closer to the higher level, more experienced players around then why not. It's not a threat to them, right. We noobs need all the crutches we can get, and then we'll just get better as time goes by. Just use the kits you like, and if it gives you even a little bit of a morale boost, go reegarcheese. The point is to have fun, and I at least have more fun when you get the feeling that you're actually finally contributing. ![]()
And pffft to airloks. I'll take my Wraith over my Claymoar any day. Not kidding.
Yes, it's partially a L2Moar (= L3RC) problem, also a lowmanifest problem. Wraith just serves me more loyally killfeed-wise, too. And just because I said so. I play as I like.

I also recommended the Claymore, saying that it one-hit killed basically every non-boss on her. The list also included the Piranha. The Crusader came highest recommended simple because it's a higher level than her Claymore, with more ammo, and I've seen General use a Sniper Rifle, it MIGHT be better suited to them (haven't seen her with a Shotgun yet, I don't think).
Personally, I use the Raider on EDI. She's also the only character that I use it on. Reegar goes to the Valkyrie (the OP-ness of this combo is off the scales). Piranha goes to the GI. Claymore goes to the QFE (And sometimes the QMI). Venom goes to the Drellguard. Wraith goes to the airlock, because it sounds stupid, and Claymore is better anyway. I still don't have a Crusader kit though, even though it's up to a IX now I think, just haven't found the right combination for it (for me).
... I feel so sorry for you
me trying to control a sniper isnt a pretty sight... its a whole lot of missing and not a great deal of hitting... its like my attempt at playing baseball in the 10th grade, really ![]()

I'm not so sure. I'd hand you a Widow or Mantis before some of the other guns I've seen you use ![]()
You do better with that than some of them... ![]()

It looks like you have been manipulated by a certain propaganda : you shouldn't justify yourself for using the Wraith instead of the Claymore, because the first one is clearly better (more accurate, way lighter and still punchy enough to one-shot kill every mook). It's not L2P dependant, you could be a reload-cancel god and it would still be true. Most Claymore lovers are actually aware of that, that's why they always come with the same poor arguments to attack the Wraith (crappy sound most of the time).
Claymore has more cool points (or maybe I should say street creds
) because it makes a bigger boom, is a one-shot weapon (so you look more skilled and badass when you use it), could be only used by krogans in a previous version, etc., that's why it has received a sort of cult. But if we talk purely about in-game performances, this gun is not among the very best weapons, unlike the Wraith.

Umm, Claymore is 833 DPS, vs Wraith's 773.
IF the Wraith had a decent refire delay (and thus, reload delay), your arguements would be valid.
Claymore one-hit kills bigger enemies, has more DPS, and with reload cancelling, fires at the exact same rate.
I know you've soloed more Platinum than I ever will, but that doesn't give you the right to make stuff up. Numbers are numbers, Claymore has a higher DPS than Wraith.
Sure, Wraith performs better on Engineers, but that is because of weight, there is no denying the weight different.
I get it, you like Wraith more. And that is valid. However, saying it does more damage than the Claymore is just BS.

I'm sorry, but if you're unlucky enough to run into me on a pug, I will have have an "OP" or meta kit. Because I'm not good enough to not have these on. I play this game a lot obviously, but I have to take a good kit in case I have to solo a wave or 2. I would classify myself as a slightly above average player, but I can't solo platinum and struggle to solo gold. So I take "OP" kits into gold. I'm not trying to be an ass about it, but so many on here complain about people taking OP kits into pugs, but the simple fact is that 99% of people playing this game are not as good as the people complaining about OP kits. I'm sorry, but my scrubby ass has to use level IV consumables in a gold on most kits I play. Not trying to start a flame war, just trying to give an average players perspective.
Yeah, I'm kind of the same way. I don't usually use "OP" kits in Gold, but I will almost always use Level III/IV ammo and mods in Gold PUGs. Still, once in a while, using an underpowered class or weapon will bite me, and we will actually fail a Gold game *GASP!*.
Also, if I see someone else using an OP kit in Gold, I don't really care. I will try to outscore their Reegar AIU with my Valkyrie Geth Engineer or whatever it is I'm using. If I can, then yay for me. If they're good enough to outscore me*, it will probably be a pretty smooth game. So... win-win.
*EDIT: Not that outscoring me is any great feat - just saying that I'm good enough that two of me can carry a Gold game ![]()

^ You don't say
Also you need to be an Infiltrator, cos Reegar on a normal dude doesn't do enough damage.
Pair Reegar with AIU & IA for maximum cheese. AW SNAAAAAP ![]()

The raider is the only shotgun/weapon I know of that can miss a head shot because of how stupid the spread is. It's asinine and I would use it more if not for that tomfoolery.

Overall, Night King VENOM. Great damage, best primer in the game, best gun vs anything on plat, phantom killer, the ability to hit SAVAGE bank shots and has a cool sound PLUS IT VIBRATES WHEN YOU CHARGE IT! Long range and close range it's a great gun. What makes it different from the likes of a harrier or reegar? It takes SKILL to use effectively.

^Blah blah blah, I like it more, so it is better.
If you would just say that, it would be fine.
You're all the same when it comes to gun discussions. You all have preferences based on personal opinion, but if somebody likes something that has a lower DPS more, you immediately jump on the DPS figures, then if somebody happens to like a gun with more DPS, you all claim DPS means nothing.
You quote a post, but don't read it. Weight difference was mentioned. Next you'll tell me the Wraith is better on the Destroyer.
Having an opinion is fine, but saying your opinion is a fact, and invalidates actual facts is BS. Just because you like the number one better than the number 2 doesn't mean one is a bigger number, it means you like one more.

You stated in your first post that I said the Wraith does more damage than the Claymore. The problem is, I never said it. I said that the Wraith was better than the Claymore, it's different. I also never said that my opinion was a fact, how could it be ? I'm wondering who is the one not reading posts...
Then you add blah blah blah shitty stuff, stupid generalizations I'm not concerned with, vague assumptions about what I could say next... that's all you've got to defend your lovely Claymore ? Give me builds where the Claymore clearly outshines the Wraith, then I will be interested.

The one thing I can confirm is that my dps is better with the Wraith than the Claymore.
Sure. Not taking accuracy into account is OK for very accurate weapons like sniper rifles, but for shotguns it's quite a big factor.
