Yeah got to disagree with that one, the entire criticism leads to them giving up is incredibly insulting, Bioware is populated by professionals not deviantart artists. I don't feel like it's my responsibility to stop talking about how much I dislike the Mass Effect 3 ending to try and make them feel better about themselves. I know for a fact that the majority of Bioware's writers had no part in it, and I know that if I were in their situation I'd be filled with a great deal of resentment towards those that did make those endings, as it killed their world. But, I'm not going to stop saying that it is the worst ending to a game that I've ever even heard of, and for what it's worth I think it's been proven by Andromeda.

I think its good that Bioware decided not to show anything. It sucks at the same time but I have 0 willpower so I'm happy to have the decision taken out of my hands. This will be a good test for me to see how long I can go without info.

With DAI marketing, I was so overhyped I couldn't think about anything else. I felt really sick of not getting the game for more than a year. It was almost painful. Now, I am really excited but I can live a normal life till 2017

That completely sums up my feelings.  I think the the #1 reason devs no longer come on these forums is because too many on these forums have lost that objective balance.  There was a time when devs actively engaged in these discussions about the pros and cons of fan ideas with much friendly banter back and forth.  It's kind of sad to see the state of BSN these days.  Oh, well...

To be honest it cuts both ways. Respect the fans and then you may get respect back. It is pointless to expect respect when you with hold it yourself. When have we seen any respect here. They do not even engage us on this forum anymore. They certainly have an arrogant attitude to their interactions. BW are right and stuff the fans opinions. (like the ending of ME3) The mass disgust shown by fans over that, only got a bare minimum response which still went with we are right stuff the fans who pay our wages.

 

That is why, many like me will only buy the next game well after launch,as the trust was blown their  end.

All criticism always, but obviously with a proper tone. Nothing is gained by name calling or witch hunts, but the negative points about their product were not out of place.

 

They also handled the Mass Effect 3 ending spectacle really badly, which is why Mass Effect especially is viewed with scrutiny.

Interesting video, he has kind of a funny-sounding voice

 

He's yelling into a dark and empty room though; the hateful trolls who make up the vast majority of the forum (but likely a tiny minority of people who actually buy, play, and enjoy BioWare games) don't really listen to reason and have exactly 0% compassion within them. They will continue to fume bitterly over the end of a game that was released four years ago (an ending that I really liked, as did every real life Mass Effect fan I encounter). They will use ridiculous terms like "EAWare" and "SJW" and insult the developers. They'll make sexist comments and homophobic comments and I've even seen racist and anti-Islamic comments. 

 

BioWare shoots itself in the foot by taking a "hands off" approach when it comes to regulating this forum. If I were in charge I honestly would close the BSN, but then I suppose all the hate would spill elsewhere. This forum could certainly use much tighter modding; there are multiple members that are repeat offenders who should've been permanently banned long ago. Unfortunately, the actual developers have no control over the forums (it's, I suppose, whoever's in charge of marketing), and it's very telling that the developers themselves have had to abandon the forums while the trolls run rampant without repercussions.
