People need to stop buying season passes as well.
Biggest rip-off in gaming right now.

I'm a big fan of buying season passes...after all the content's been released.

I may pre-order on Amazon, but only because they sometimes dispatch too early.  Otherwise I'll get it day of release.

Nope, I am no longer preordering any games, Bioware or otherwise. It sends a bad message that game companies don't need to be held responsible for their end product if they know a certain percentage of sales have already occurred before the release date.

not preordering.  Given how EA/Bioware gave us half a story in Dragon age inquisition and the true ending did not happen until the final of 3 dlc's,  I'm going to wait.

I am probably one of the biggest dragon age inquisition and Mass effect 3 defender,

Bioware makes game that I replay again and again, its my favorite developper of all time.

But even I don't pre order, dragon age 2 was the only bioware game I waited until it was half the price and then pick it up. That way I was not angry at the game because i bought it for (IN MY OPINION) is real value.

Even Bioware, a company I love have made games that are not worth all the price. I always wait for reviews before I bought it, even if I am 99.9% sure to buy the game not far from the release

I also don't pre order on principles, it encourage publisher publisher to cut little piece of the game that should be in the final product.

Even if the pre order bonus are just cosmetic and I don't care that much about losing that, like jim sterling said, its still there to give a sense of lost, a feelling that the game is not complete because publisher wants to lock the customer in buying the game before reviews come out.

Yep even if I look everyday for more news about mass effect andromeda and I am super hyped for that, I won't preorder that game

Yo! Likely will, as all pre-orders thus far have been solid. And if poor reviews or reports surface before launch, tis easy enough to cancel it.

Do I have to play it on Origin?  Then nope.  I'll buy it whenever it becomes available as a non-Origin title.  DA:I was literally unplayable no matter what I did.  Until I found the options to shut off Origin in game, turned off  my wireless, unplugged the cable and played off line.  Bang, added 20 to 30 FPS instantly, and was able to crank up the settings without losing FPS.

Never will I play another game on Origin.  I'll wait for it to come to Steam, or if it never does, I'll miss out and be sad.

I'd wait for a couple-three weeks to make sure there are no game-breaking bugs. I'd like to start asap, but as a not really great gamer, I'd like to have the great gamers rush through the game first to clear out all the "can't open the door" and the "game CTD when I...."

I might "pre-order" in the period between the game coming out in the US and it coming out here.

Assuming I've got a machine capable of running it by then.

That's weird. Having Origin in-game on gives a FPS hit, but the other things should have been irrelevant. Are you sure it wasn't something else burning CPU cycles when you were connected?

What's the advantage of pre-ordering? A few bonus items that make the game even easier than it usually is? Pass.

I did it with FA4, which I did pre-order.  Worth it.

Well, if you're picking the game up on release day anyway, you might as well get those few insignificant preorder items.

On topic, since I always pick up games I want on release day, I usually preorder them for goodies. If Andromeda has a good CE like ME3 did, that's another reason to preorder.

No way, no how. I gave them that on DAI, and not only did I get a version that barely functioned, but our entire section of the fanbase was actively ignored. While I doubt Bioware would do the same with the next-gen versions of ME:A, I'm not taking that chance.

Well, I would have liked to have the tarot cards from DAI.   Jade Empire I liked Monk Zheng which came with the pre order limited edition at that time.

When I do preorder it's because I want to.  No real other reason.  I just liked knowing I was going to play the game the day it comes out.  :)  Of course a few times, it got messed up and I played the game 2 days after I could have purchased it at a store.  Occasionally I still do it but not as often as I used to.
