Probably,  I know I am getting the game no matter what seeing that this is my favorite gaming franchise.  Might as well pre order it.

Well, if you're picking the game up on release day anyway, you might as well get those few insignificant preorder items.

Good point. In practice I prefer to wait for the first post-release sale anyway. I save $10 or so and probably get patch 1 at about the same time.

I probably will.

There aren't many games or game franchises I can see myself doing this for, but I love Mass Effect, and am hoping Andromeda is good.

That said, I'd pre-order sequels to The Last of Us and Until Dawn in a heartbeat. And KH3 when that finally comes out.

I would not preorder any game.  Of course I won't condemn anybody who does as the "preorder canceled!" meme couldn't exist without them.

*bounces excitedly*

There is a very strong chance I will.  After Inquisition and based on the very good information we have on Ryder so far I am starting to get pumped.

I'm going to pre-order the heck out of this game.  I'm very excited.  Nothing that Bioware or EA has done has been so bad for me as to prevent me from playing this game.

I'm gonna preorder it. Simply because I'm a huge fan of the universe and will make my own opinion of the game, even if the magazines say "bullcrap 23% GG" or not. And I'm gonna play it as soon as it appears, as I'm really looking forward to what BioWare serves us this time. Even if the people say the game sucks, I spent 130 hours with Dragon Age Inquisition, the game that was somehow chosen by the fans as game of the year and at the same time, one year later, called the worst BioWare game... people and magazines will always fight, but my joy and fun with the games will prevail!

Depends on what I get for preordering. If a CE / preorder includes a soundtrack (and I like the composer's earlier work), I'll almost certainly preorder / order a CE (if the price is reasonable) - done it before, and no regrets thus far: Bioware games have amazing music.

Also, if it looks like I won't be able to pick it up on launch day without major hassle and it builds up enough hype / popularity, I'll probably preorder a copy regardless so I can just walk in and pick it up when I'm able so I don't have to worry about getting a copy.

I did decide to order "The Masked Empire" based on liking the samples I could find and my interest in the premise of the novel. I did the same with "Vol'jin: Shadows the Horde".

1 big like just for mentioning that book. Out of curiosity have you read any of the other Warcraft novelizations?

When it comes to pre-order i tend to avoid it, as i don't like putting my money down up front. Still i am going to buy Andromeda no matter what, but will probably just be a day one purchase.

I might pre-order Mass Effect Andromeda. I have nothing against the concept personally.

i normally pre-order 1 week early do to the shitty economy of my country and like someone say prize change to much from month to month.

But yeah ME A is a must for me, i love the idea of the game. And really it wont be bad. No meter what they do the game will not be as bad.

Look i pre-order Witcher 3 and the season pass and is been sitting there waiting for me to finish (and it was suppost to be a masterpieces.....................)

I'll pre-order it right when it's available. Most expensive edition there is.

A number of them. Most of the ones I've read have been borrowed from my local library but they only have so many. Thankfully, they do get in the newer releases just a later date.

The comic series was avaliable for a time here and I do own just about every issue of it but I wasn't exactly charmed by it so I prefer the books. I'm almost done with "Shadows of the Horde" and I've found that I do like it so far.  Now that I have more time I should be able to finish reading it and then I'm planning on borrowing "War Crimes" from the library.

It's been a while since I've played but I do still try to keep up with the story since I very much like the setting and lore. :)

I live by the rules of Totalbiscuit, I don't pre-order games.  It's a mug's game.

BUT.

will pre-order ME:A for one specific reason.  I started playing BioWare games when DA:I came out, and have played all DA and ME games since then.  I've been heavily spoilered about so many bloody things, and honestly a lot of that is my own damn fault.

However sometimes I'd be looking up a question about DA and find someone mention Liara being the Shadow Broker, or a recommended YT video pops up saying 'Iron Bull's Betrayal' for example.  It's impossible to hide from all the spoilers.

I know I'll be buying ME:A (it's a given as I love the franchise) and I want, for once, to have a clean, virgin, un-spoilered experience.  Good or bad, it'll be new and it'll be a surprise.

If CE is available in my country and at reasonable price (for what's included in it), then yeah, I'll pre-order. If not... Well, day one digital download.

That's weird. Having Origin in-game on gives a FPS hit, but the other things should have been irrelevant. Are you sure it wasn't something else burning CPU cycles when you were connected?

Pretty sure.  Had no issues with anything other than DA:I and ME:3.  Heck I can get XCOM 2 running at middling settings with enough tweaking of the .ini files.  But those two games were just brutal until I unplugged.  Drove me friggin' nuts because, you're right, it absolutely shouldn't have mattered.  Yet, it did.  Still did that last time I played either game, although it was not as pronounced.  I presume there have been patches to Origin since DA:I launched  : )

That fact the Origin in-game still gives an FPS hit is unacceptable though.  It's a store interface, Steam doesn't do it.  Amazon's game down loader doesn't.  It's a deliberate choice to Negatively impact the customer experience for no rational reason.  I will not support the business that does it.  Although I wish the best to the folks at Bioware as I've bought damn near everything else they've ever made and played the heck out of it.  Hopefully EA re-thinks the whole Origin Exclusive thing someday down the road.

It's mass effect. I didn't preorder the other games. I won't make that same mistake again.
