As skeptical of the game and BioWare in general, I will likely pre-order the CE. In all honesty I just hope I'll be able to get my hands on a copy. We don't get a lot shipped to our EBGames, and considering that's the only game-shop in the province I'll be lucky if I get one.

I couldn't even get the deluxe version of DAI when it came out. (Had to upgrade it on my system.) That's how pitiful the inventory is.

Seriously. Statues are better than exclusive DLC. Gimme a statue and a cloth map and I'm set.

To this day, I've got Alduin looking down at me from the top of my PC.

Pretty dorky there Mr. Choir... but cute. :D

I take it you don't have the bandwidth to just give up on stores?

It takes a lot for me to pre-order any game. I despise day 1 DLC that either charges you extra or forces you to pre-order, so if that's the case here I'll most definitely pass. On the other hand, if there's a neat package deal - like Dishonored 2 offering the first game + all its DLC free if you pre-order it, then I'm more inclined to get it. Bioware doesn't have the best track record when it comes to this stuff, mainly due to SS EA. So I'll wait and see, but normally I like to know how a game is post-launch before I shell out $40-60 for it.

I have been cured of my collector's edition purchasing habits by a broken pipe and collapsed ceiling.  Now I might pre-order the game if I determine that it would be a day 1 purchase anyway, but I need to know more before I do that and what helped me with that with Dragon Age: Inquisition was the lifting of the review embargo a week before release.

I'll definitely preorder, but only because I'll be getting this game no matter what news falls between now and release.  It's Mass Effect and there's been a Mass Effect-shaped hole in my life since...well, about 15 minutes before the original ending of ME3.

What is the point of pre-ordering? if your playing on PC you and I assume consoles now can do this to, you can just purchase the digital copy whenever you want.

Ill definitely preorder the best edition available as soon as it's possible for preorder. I always do that with games I really want and this one I want.

Thanks!  You're the first person other than my mom to tell me so!

Normally I'm not the type to do so.  But, hey, if you know you're getting the game anyway and there's a chance to preload the software, get some swag, or just pay at a time that you know you have the extra money in the bank, then why not?

Pre-order, pre-load, turn off outside com and get an as spoilerfree experience as possible. (As a bonus you get to annoy some of those "thou shalt not pre-order" zealots).

Between my slow internet (preload, yay!), how long it takes discs to get here (Amazon, yay!), our complete lack of vidja game outlets in my town of 300 with no road connection to the outside world, and the fact that even the Bioware game I've enjoyed the least has still seen several playthroughs and given me many hours of enjoyment...

Yeah, I'm preordering that bad boy. Unless there's some signs between here and about 2 weeks from launch that the game is actually made of fire-ants.

It's 47.99 with Amazon Prime. Even if that changes later on that price will be locked in and you can cancel it anytime if you don't want it in the end.
