I've been doing platinum solo runs the last few days. Done my favorite Adepts and Soldiers but Ive got to the Engineers and i just cant decide as i love them all. Which Character or which map and enemy faction would you suggest for a nice run.

No juggs please or talon mercs. sorry i should have made that clear. Im not looking for easy mode either. must be an engineer. im done with soldiers now.

Depends if you're looking for something fast and relatively easy or something more challenging. If that's the former one, I would suggest to use the QME with Venom, as it's quite hard to beat such a stagger machine with tech burts, fire explosions and incendiary glitch all over the place. He particularly owns Cerberus and geth.

 

If you're looking for something less cheesy, I would suggest the vanilla human. Anti-shields and anti-armors powers, TB and FE too, a Drone for distracting enemies... Well balanced and classy. I would equip him with Arc pistol, Wraith or Talon.

 

I've liked too my solo with the vorcha engineer, as trying to catch Phantoms into Sub Nets is fun for me. I used the Wraith, the rythm of this gun works well with the Sub Net's cooldown.

Well I love soloing Glacier because it's the fastest, and White is probably the easiest. 

 

For Engineers, I love Salarian Engineer, and he'd probably be good vs Geth, but as far as map, I dunno.

I'd spec into Decoy for phantoms but Geth also. 3 pts is enough. I always use Venom on him but Scorpion is also good because lore.

You could also go Vanilla Human Engineer, but faction and weapon I have no idea. I've never soloed plat with an engineer

I am definitely leaning towards the vanilla as its one of my favorite kits but the weapon and faction are whats eluding me.

Don't need combat drone on human engineer, but take it if you want.  Stagger gun is more effective against Phantoms than Drone.

 

QME is almost certainly the easiest, ignoring extreme cheese tactics with Talon.  Demolisher is basically a poor man's QME.  Volus isn't bad but I don't consider it fun.  The fun tier is GE, SE, HE probably.  HE is probably a little harder than the other two.

 

QFE and Vorcha can glitch IA with Incinerate, and that's about it.  Vorcha I hate soloing with more than any other race.

 

Saboteur has crap powers and works mostly as a gun platform.  Can get a few TBs.

I personally like the Combat Drone again, specifically for phantoms, but I'd lean on capn's expertise here, as he solos plat more than me.
