Me too. I like the combat drone. Its looking like a geth platinum solo so far. Not what i had in mind but ive not soloed them for a while.

Condor or Jade vs Geth are pretty challenging, so good luck if you choose them.

stagger gun trumps drone you say? interesting. 

 

Well that is a simplification of course.  But any stagger Drone can apply to something like a Phantom is less reliable than their real banes which are Venom, Falcon, GPS, Graal.  Of course none of them are all that great as high DPS guns vs armor (since none have double hits), but you can always go with IA and interact with Incinerate.

 

Of course saying that, half the time when I go back to GPS after not using it for a long time I am pretty terrible with it.

 

The real question is whether drone is worth robbing the points from fitness or passive.  Probably depends on weapon and the faction to an extent, but it isn't like Gold where there are some factions that are light on hitscan dps (Geth, Reapers).

Try with a Vorcha Hunter. Challenging but can be fun and you could detonate both tech bursts as well as fire explosions if you use incendiary ammo.
