With the information we have on hand currently and with the new trailer released, what aspects of ME:A excite you? What are you looking forward to or what neat ideas do you hope they'll have in game? Please try to keep the thread constructive even if you disagree with someone else. :)

Personally I'm excited for the concept of going out into the unknown and really hope the exploration section of the game is incredibly rewarding! I already know the story will be amazing so I'm hoping that the gameplay helps inform on that by giving us a lot to do and discover.

I want to meet new characters, explore new planets, and learn the mythology of the Andromeda galaxy. All of that is pretty exciting.

Basically.

I love choice/consequence-driven games, and games where you can play it for the 5th time and still find new things (Like DAI,) and Mass Effect is what got me into RPGs. Space RPGs are just so cool.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is Mass Effect in name only. It has done away with everything that made the original trilogy great, and makes a mockery of the things it has stolen from the original trilogy (such as the asari with the eyebrows).

I love the Mass Effect universe in general, buuuut...!

Character building! I love planning out my own characters and I love meeting the companions. Good characters can easily make me love a game. I also look forward to the relationships our characters can build whether they're friendship or romantic.

I'm really looking forward to meeting our companions. I hope that asari in the trailer makes it into the game. She's the first asari I've been interested in meeting. Her facial animations just make her look like a fun character.

I always love customosing my protagonists; hope character creation is robust! I'll be naming her after Amelia Earhart to honor flight and feminism.

As far as the setting goes, I'm interested to learn about Andromeda and meet its citizens. I'm also curious about how the fleet is organized. How many ships? Politics? Species?

And you know this from your extensive experience playing the game? Take a look at Liara T'soni for a moment if you don't like Asari with eyebrows.

Excited =//= Interested

I know this because they've removed everything that made the original trilogy great.

Take a look at Liara T'soni for a moment if you don't like Asari with eyebrows.

Her eyebrows are at the very least painted on and not actual, individual hairs.

Don't know yet, because Bioware hasn't really shown much yet. Hard to get too excited about a game that not much is known about.

How do you know that?

He's assuming BioWare is still the 10/10 storyteller they used to be back in the 1990s and early 2000s. Truth is, they've lost a lot of points since. Even Bethesda tells better stories than BioWare these days.

Er... no. That's like saying that Ford makes worse cars than General Mills.

Do people really need to come into a positive thread just to ****** on the people who are excited and want to be positive? Like, what's the point?

They don't appear to be sadists, so I'm guessing it's an obsession with one's own perceived intellect.

Anyway, I'm excited because the awkward transitional period of the past series, in which clashing ideas bogged down stories due to staff transitions, will either have been ironed out or will not necessarily matter if this game can have its own, unique identity. I feel like a way to start fresh is very good for this franchise, and I think this game will go well.

Apparently so. Reacting to it only makes it worse though. (I know the irony of me posting a quote of you reacting to it, but we need to bring awareness that it's getting old and tiresome.)

Definitely.

I'm really looking forward to meeting our companions.

That's one of the best parts of Mass Effect. The friends.....and who you tolerate and who you hate and who you love. :D

I look forward to returning to the ambience of the original Mass Effect, and maybe exceeding it in a way; specifically that feeling of stepping into the unknown. I look forward to landing on worlds upon which no one from our galaxy has ever landed, rolling out in the Mako and exploring.

I look forward to exploring all of the new class mechanics I know we'll have. As good as ME3 was, it needed work, and they always tinker between games.

I look forward to meeting Ryder and the crew, and building their story. I look forward to doing this about 147 times, because I'll likely play it again and again.

Yeah, I wish people would respect the OPs stated intentions for this thread and take the negativity elsewhere. It's not like we don't have thousands of complaint threads where negativity has its place.

Pretty much. The storytelling in the latest installments - both ME and DA - ranged from rubbish to mediocre. Even ME2 plot line didn't do any favors to the trilogy.

I perfectly understand being disappointed and disheartened by changes you don't agree with, of course. I just don't understand the intent behind being passive aggressive towards those who are excited.

As for more positivity and what I'm excited for... I'm looking forward to the new cultures we will discover too. Hopefully, we'll have the chance to respect them, including any non-space faring species we come across. I expect we will, of course, but the colonisation stint is... murky territory, I guess you could say.
