Oh, and she actually ends up one of Ryder's squaddies, while Emily comes along on the Tempest as an embedded journalist, keeping the civilian Ark population up to date on how the search for new colony worlds is going.

The brochure from earlier this year had a cover with Initiation, but said the title would be Andromeda Initiative.

 

It's more logical that the cover is outdated, than that they would misspell the name in their own catalogue. Also, an earlier version of the same document said Pathfinder Initiative.

 

Often books already have a very early concept cover just to show something in these sales documents.

"Unmissable," what does that mean? A different way of saying you must buy? I doubt the content will be that significant to begin with. BioWare wouldn't want the important information to be used for a book sake. Plus, I suspect that will just show up to Andromeda or be there already when the game starts. How we get there and what not will probably be book information. Also, that information probably will be in codex form anyway.

Agreed, but I think this one's on point. Kahlee Sanders really does feel like one of those author self-insert characters, which as far as I know is the original meaning of the term.

I personally doubt it'll be that soon. BioWare are usually pretty good about marketing their tie-in stuff a good ways in advance.

No. That's considered not to be consumer friendly, so they don't do that anymore. Oh, and you'll get 100 clips if you buy a full chapter as a bonus.

Shepard was kind of a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. Good looking, very powerful, charming/intimidating and succeeded in almost anything with very little flaws. Of course that depended how you played her.
