So is hair growth actually becoming a thing in video games now? It's in The Witcher 3 and I think it's pretty cool. It's also refreshing to change your characters hairstyle over time, you can do it in Fallout 4 but the hairstyles in those Fallout games are always garbage. When I begin my Andromeda journey, I want to have a clean face but when my mission is complete, I want to have a mighty beard like Odin

Why stop there?

With the hordes of side missions side-tracking me from the storyline, I expect to face the final boss looking like Gandalf.

While they may not do hair growing, I can see them having something that allows you to change your appearance at any time like the Mirror of Transformation in DA2 and DAI.

I think dynamic beard growth is the one thing upon which we can all reach consensus. It should be in every game.

Or even just a mirror or something in our personal quarters, whether that be on the Ark, the Tempest, or a settlement we set up.

Especially Tomb Raider :P

I agree though, dynamic beards are awesome!

While I'm not necessarily against it, I'd rather prefer if it was optional or at least slower than in TW3. It got annoying real fast to have to shave Geralt after every hour or so of gameplay if you don't want a damn beard. Made even worse when Yennefer comments on his beard even though I just shaved his face clean 3 minutes ago.

This makes sense for rugged Geralt, roaming the countryside on Roach, slaying monsters. It might even make sense for Snake, sneaking through assorted surroundings, whether in a sneaking suit or bare-chested. For Mass Effect, though? Just give me a mirror in my cabin aboard Tempest. When I look in the mirror, I can make minor appearance alterations. Dynamic hair growth seems out of place in this setting.

They can't even make hair, and you want hair growth? Fallout 4's tragic hairstyles **** all over the entire ME trilogy and DAI. *cringes*

I would not mind a barber or something like that were you can change hair when you want to. Plus then you can see the hair from the back too, while seeing what looks the best from 360 degrees.

Honestly, I think that's a bit much. I don't want to have to keep heading back to make my hairstyle back to how it was, or shave, etc.

Maybe this is the background for the Andromedean squadmate.  The most decorated barber from Cyplacious Prime, or some such.

Lot of dialogue possibilities too.  Can talk about mission plans with them.

I'd like this, but this is from the same developer that passed off about nine or ten different hairstyles in DAI as "minor variation of shaved head".

I'm really not convinced that's going to work...

I hope not, because while it's realistic, I hated that feature (for example in "The Witcher 3" (because barbers weren't available in every village and you couldn't shave yourself - unless you use the dev-console!))...I'd like to think that my characters keep themselves cleanly shaved (I don't like beards much, not even my own...dammed red beard, I look like my face is RUSTING -.-)

I do not really like to criticize, but once again they did a terrible job with hairstyles; I can hardly see the difference between ME3 and this picture... I wonder if Bioware teams considered at all the feedback about this particular issue which was adressed multiple times 2 or 3 years ago.
