In the Bioware universe, there are no barber shops or hair salons. Your hair stays short for your entire life, unless you cast space magic (use a mod).

Perhaps an exception could be made for beards and moustaches?

I require my broRyder have an epic beard.

Not like those Bethesda beards that never really look all that great, but a proper beard of epic proportions.

I hope it doesn't occur. It feels like busywork and padding to make you talk to people.

I like it.

Yes me to then i would let my hair grow to my characters butt  ;). And after that i would go outside during a storm and then hope for my hair to actually flow in the wind  :).

I think dynamic growth would be cool, but there are about a million things that I'd rather they focus on. I mean, it's not that hard to headcanon a quick trim or shave off-camera. Unlike a Bethesda RPG or the Sims, we're not necessarily with these characters every second of every day.

However, a station to change hair/make-up, or even a plastic surgery station, would be a very welcome addition and is something I hope they prioritize.

Or that your characters hair keeps growing even when you are not playing the game. And then when you come back after a year you have hair as long as Rapunzel that would be something  :D

I like the Witcher, but needing to make regular trips to the barber is a chore, just like real life.

Oh i don't mind to go to the hairstylists ( ingame or in real life ) for me that would not be a chore at all  ;)

Pretty much a waste of resources, really. Appearance is not that important.

But it is very important at least to me ;)

Better book a waxing before engaging in 'the priiize' part of the romance. Got it.

Witcher 3´s growing beards, ugh. I would pay good money for a razor. Most of the styles don´t look that good, a bit tacked on and it seems to me that the grow feature was responsible for that. Could be wrong though. It was a bit odd to implement a bit of realism growing beards and then have the barbers with their magic razors. Ok, I don´t mind that much. It´s better then having to run around with a weird haircut until it grows back. Witcher 2 had barbers where you could change your hair styles. Throw in beard change and probably 95% are happy.

That'll be a no for the hair growth. I don't want to keep having to go back and get a haircut or shave if I play a man.

But, like others in this thread, I would totally get behind a mirror to change hairstyles and makeup. We know Bioware can do it.

As much as i want every bit of realism, i think having the basics of hair being resolved first would be good. Also, i don't want the system specs to go up because people want personal chia pets. :D

I don't see why not. Mass Effect 3 had a couple options of unnatural hair color, one being pink and the other purple I believe.

It wouldn't even be that hard. Just do what DAI did with some things like eye color where there are some natural presets or you could use the color wheel to make any color you want.

There was a bright postbox red that was definitely unnatural too iirc.

Speaking of colors, when are we going to get a character creator with decent lighting?  In ME3, skin was more pale and hair was darker in 99% of the game than in the CC.  Dragon Age Inquisition was even worse with its hair color guessing game.

Seriously on board with needing better lighting. Everyone, unless you had radically blond or grey hair, looked like they had dark brown or black hair in ME3. It was horrible, and that was in game too.

I just wish they'd add a 'character demo' feature to the CC, or something. Basically, you hit a button, and it has your character run through a quick sequence of animations, environments, cutscene angles and lighting conditions, so you can figure out how you're actually going to look in-game.

Also, bring back face codes! I'm not particularly gifted when it comes to physical character customisation, so I generally go looking for other people's designs once the game's been out for a while. DA: I had a fantastic custom character community on sites like the Inquisition Sliders Reddit, but actually recreating them was a pain in the arse 'cause you had to look through screenshots and fiddle with the sliders in the CC.

Oh yeah, face codes were cool.  If they don't add them, then putting a number by the sliders like in SWTOR would be the next best thing.

Or just make it a player input retcon mirror, where you can say, "oops, this is what I really meant him/her to look like," and give us the whole face creator.
