Really would seem typical (in a potentially good way) to have us think we're the only Ark that survived, but then have a future DLC show us the fate of one other.

I only see three, where is the fourth?[/quote]
It's right before this shot. Watch the trailer and the small passenger ships fly under it.

Didn't they mention each race had their own ark a long time ago? Something was said in relation to a side (loyalty type?) mission involving helping the Krogan with their ark.

I predict something bad happens and only one of the ships makes it.
I thought that initially...and it's still quite possible, but now I am more inclined to believe they will end up in different parts of the galaxy to act as the beginnings of a mass relay network.

They might also be targeting different parts of Andromeda, they said we would only be exploring one section/sector of Andromeda in this game. Saving other sectors/sections for later games.
It's one of the thigns they said they did wrong in the Milkyway, they used up the whole galaxymap in the firstgame and it was hard to explain it to people that less than 1% of the galaxy was explored when the galaxy was divided up among the few known species.
Or they are all heading to the same sector, but I would thin kthat they would try to avoid puttign all their eggs in the same basket and therefor spread out the expedition. There are advantages and dissadvantages to both approaches. If they stay together they get a bigger population to get production going, they would be stronger and have an easier tiem defending themselves. On the other hand if they encoutner a serious threat they would all be destroyed at the same time. Or if they happend to pick a really bad sector with terrible planets and resoruces or inhabited with hostiel species, then that would be bad.... Then again, if they can communicate and announce that they found paradise and incredible treasures, then they should be able to use QEC to tell the others and they should be able to come over. If they can travel to another galaxy, then they should be able to travel the interior of the galaxy with relative ease distance wise.

It could also spawn new storylines in the future if one of the lost ones shows up again. Nice.
I'm pretty sure this will be the case. And Ryder's family member will be on "missing" Ark for increased drama.

This may or may not be the case, I'm just having hard time to imagine how one can possibly "steal" such thing.

I disagree - there might be ONE that doesn't show up at the final coordinates (so we've got a bit of a mystery to solve and we might (or might not) find out what happened to that one ship), but 3?
Nope (well: At least I hope not, that's so cliche...)

That is an interesting concept.
I also had the thought that one of the arks could perhaps go rogue and become one of our enemy?
