We've heard so much about TW3 in these forums. About how great and wonderful it is. And that really scares me. Especially considering how problematic the game is. Its lack of respect for women, homosexuals and minorities being the major ones. In the entire game, you play as some old, boring, white dude who can go around sleeping with young women, who are often prostitutes and are forced to sell themselves. The fact that the developers thought it would be a good idea to allow players to take advantage of disadvantaged women is disgusting. There is so much misogyny in the game. Women are treated like crap everywhere. Then there's the lack of racial diversity and lack of representation for the LGBT community as well. 

 

Bioware, please don't let this disgusting dudebro simulator influence you. The game is stupid and has a really despicable protagonist. Please don't ruin Mass Effect by imitating CD Project Red. You're better than this. 

 

I didn't play The Witcher 3. I've never heard about the game, is it famous or something? What's the theme of the game? Are you a witch or a witch hunter? Is something Harry Potter related in some way or more like a Blade without vampires? Are vampires presented in The Wire 3? What is CD Project Red? Is something Ark related?

I think some people might have problems when something is there for the sake of itself, and not to makes the game better. There was that transgender (I think) companion with Bull in DAI that when I played I thought: "wow, this is only here for show". As I understand, it didn't make the game more diverse or add a thematic issue that was explored. It was there just so someone can say: diversity! Of couse, I might have missed content that further explores this. I can't know.

Personally, I don't have a problem with that. I do think it's cheap thought. But maybe it's better than nothing at all?

The Witcher is a game about a Knight, Sir Geralt of Rivia, knighted by the Queen Meve of Lyria. No greater defender of the downtrodden has ever been known. He even died defending the oppressed underclass. He came back from the dead, though. (He's a lot like Shepard, in that regard.) I highly recommend this game. It's top notch! No greater, nobler hero than Geralt will you find!

Came on, sir. That's an overstatement. I think The Witcher 3 does an amazing job with female characters and I don't see it as mysogenistic at all. But if Ciri is at that you're saying - I'm assuming you mean Ciri - it's highly debetable.

That seems not very original then! It's seems they take Dragon Age world and some arc points from Game of Thrones and mixed altogether!? Is not a good game then?

I heard you can make Gerry to be a vampire and you have to sleep all day until it's dark. That sounds good in theory but I really don't like to watch my character sleeping in a Truman Show weird kind of way.

 

At the end Gerry dies again or you can choose? Do your choices even matter?
