Bioware could only stand to improve their games if they followed CDPR's ideas. So I have no idea what this thread is talking about.
What ideas? The only ideas CDPR had with the Witcher 3 was that its okay to promote misogyny, homophobia, and racism. Following their path will only regress the industry. Its 2016. We shouldn't be having games where women and minorities are treated like crap.

I'll believe that it's worth a damn when I see them allow for actual character customization.
or actually character progression, or a good exploration map, or a decent combat. =D

Its a video game. There's absolutely no justification for making a game where you play as an old white dude that goes around banging disadvantaged women and roleplay as a misogynist, in a setting that is full of misogyny.
and misogynistic setting on everyone.
Do you understand what video games are? I suspect you don't.

I think they could learn a few things from that game. I should say they need to be reminded like building side-quests that are narrative focus. What I found funny about this in WItcher 3 is so many people praise it yet Bioware was not new to it either. They did it before and for some bizarre reason didn't use it in Dragon Age Inquisition which was prime for that.

We've heard so much about TW3 in these forums. About how great and wonderful it is. And that really scares me. Especially considering how problematic the game is. Its lack of respect for women, homosexuals and minorities being the major ones. In the entire game, you play as some old, boring, white dude who can go around sleeping with young women, who are often prostitutes and are forced to sell themselves. The fact that the developers thought it would be a good idea to allow players to take advantage of disadvantaged women is disgusting
That's why I love eastern europe

Why does it have to be full of bigotry? Its a video game. They can just make a medieval setting that IS progressive, like DAI.

Forgive me, but I'm reasonably sure the Middle Ages were not a time of ghouls, djinn, and Witchers.

Only idiots will see the Witcher as an avenue to promote bigotry instead of a fun game that follows its gritty established canon and offers choices that affect the game.

I applaud him though, he's one of the few good successful trolls we have in a while. Choosing controversial topics like transgender, Witcher 3, etc then making a thread about it and watch them fly.

Hmmm
Women: Aside of the brothel, the women seem reasonably empowered (maybe not the witches that are getting skewered).
LGBT: Gay and cross-dressing characters are treated sympathetically.
Minorities: It's an Eastern European medieval style setting, I think they get a pass there. More generally Geralt stands up against racism (or can).
I enjoyed the Witcher 3.
But BioWare don't need any lessons in character development.
They could, however take on board the example given by The Witcher 3's excellent side content.
That raised the bar for RPGs and I hope that does influence what happens in MEA's huge worlds...

Strange days when I am defending the Witcher on BSN but I like the way CDPR interprets the world of the Witcher.
