Ciri ended up in Arthurs legend  when she once world jumped and even described a futuristic Earth (our world) so it's not too far fetch  since many others have had the ablity to world jump in the past that the people of the TW world learned stuff from other worlds like phrases, laws ect.  Hence why it's not too far fetched, contrived? Maybe but not totally impossible.

Does require some good suspension of disbelief tho.

Interesting. I think it's a cool explanation why the world of The Witcher 3 is medieval in most aspects, but modern or even contemporary in others. As far as the Yen's example, she clearly have a knowledge about weather, so who knows, maybe she did find a "modern" book about it.

So, this has turned into the all pro-Witcher, all anti-BioWare thread in this section, huh?

Enjoy yourselves. That gets really boring.

DAI had a better end game then TW3 as TW3s act 3 was a hot mess. There, it's no longer anti Bioware.

Yes! CDPR took a character that was unknown to me and made me absolutely love him.  This is why I want BW to start making companions a part of the main plot in some way, give them some personal stakes of their own instead of "I'm here to help because of the world is in need blah blah."

And the banter between Geralt and Regis was just wonderful.

Well they usually do.

ME1- Liara

DAO- Morrigan

ME2- Technically everyone

DA2- Anders

ME3- No one in particular

DA:I- Solas

Its just that none have had the bromance between Geralt and Regis.

Liara- Innocent but creepy in chasing dat Shepard booty

Morrigan- Awesome but her stuff was mostly with everyone else, maybe leaning towards Alistair

ME2 squaddies- Well naturally, amongst each other

Anders- The voices in his head

Solas- No one in particular cause thats the kind of dude Solas is

To get that Geralt and Regis bromance feel from a character, we need to be hanging out with a squaddie in particular more often.

Closest a Bioware team got to Geralt/Regis bromance levels is Shepard/Garrus.

Regis and Geralt, Bioware take notes, that's how you do a bromance.

Still wish we had a legit Olgierd bromance.

It's all about Gaunter O'Spoon.

Thats another thing Mass Effect could use, a character as enigmatic and mysterious as Gaunter O'Dimm. Just maybe without the fantastical bits.

i think Shepard/Garrus and that goodbye on top of the Citadel bridge was OP, as male or female.

I really feel more attach to Garrus that to Regis probably

No, its a "What can Bioware do better that CDPR already does well" sort of thing.

Gotta be productive here.

Po-ta-toe, po-tah-toe at this point. Like I said, boring.

They tried with TIM, they truly did, but they made some core mistakes that ruined him for good.

Its easier to be attached to Garrus considering we had three games with him on our team as opposed to a single DLC. Its only easier for Regis if you know the source material.

i guess you right, i mean that one of the points i didnt like about Witcher 3, that they didnt care much about the development of character from 1 and 2, and they just focus alot more about the novel, so really it was hard for me to understand why Geralt was fallowing Yen and doing all what she want w/o saying anything, when i spend 2 games doign that for Triss. (=D im glad i could choose Triss at the end)

I'm glad they went with books>games. Made it feel more natural, more real. Ex- Yen is canonically Geralt's love, so him with Triss is just weird to me. Especially with the taking advantage of his amnesia thing. And hey, The Wild Hunt was mentioned prior.

Far as Andromeda goes, I hope it doesn't mention the previous trilogy outside of a few things here and there.

i know the wild hunt was mention but that is pretty much the whole plot they use and actually for me that was the weakest part on Witcher 3 how you deal with the hunt at the end.

I can understand how fans of the novel like it more. i just feel lost and probably that turn me a little off from keep playing Witcher (plus other mechanical issues)

As for Andromeda, well i have 0 issue with the trilogy, i mean really they wont going to use any of the ending so they will not mention it, but probabbly we going to get reference from Shapper or stuff that happen at ME 1 and 2 and probably at the star of 3, but i doubt we going to see any mention of the Reaper war or the state of Milky Way after ME 3

It'd be funny if there were telescopes in Andromeda that gave you a view of The Milky Way.

To be fair they messed up Cerberus so bad. They were three different things across the trilogy.

Well, I mean, he's Cerberus. Going by everything we've seen of them and learned about them in the previous two games, where they end up in ME3 shouldn't be surprising at all.

Becoming a poor mans Saren, holding the idiot ball and losing the entire mysterious angle on him was not something anyone could have saw.

If you need the source material to understand a character then it falls flat to me.
