Maybe if we keep talking about SJWs and anti-SJWS we can finally get this shithole of a board closed until N7 Day

I actually welcome some of those things being in Andromeda. The world isn't a nice play, and should not be made to look as such. There needs to be darkness in the game if it really wants to delve into mature, adult themes. Mass Effect is not a game for kids.

Did they axe the other thread?  The one that was basically the opposite of this one?  Extremist idiots on both sides are funny.

They nuked one completely (as in you can't find it anymore even with a lock sign) and then just locked a different one.

I know because I was about to post again in both LOL

I get the impression the OP is trying to advertise their youtube video more than anything.

Nonetheless, Bioware does not take suggestions from this forum, on any topic. They build their game based on what they think will sell to a ton of people. Right now, they seem enamoured of Skyrims multimillion dollar sales figures, so seem to want to jump on that bandwagon.

We've heard so much about TW3 in these forums. About how great and wonderful it is. And that really scares me. Especially considering how problematic the game is. Its lack of respect for women, homosexuals and minorities being the major ones. In the entire game, you play as some old, boring, white dude who can go around sleeping with young women, who are often prostitutes and are forced to sell themselves. The fact that the developers thought it would be a good idea to allow players to take advantage of disadvantaged women is disgusting. There is so much misogyny in the game. Women are treated like crap everywhere. Then there's the lack of racial diversity and lack of representation for the LGBT community as well.

Bioware, please don't let this disgusting dudebro simulator influence you. The game is stupid and has a really despicable protagonist. Please don't ruin Mass Effect by imitating CD Project Red. You're better than this.

Oh grow up jeez Bioware protags get stupider with every game because of people like you.

In case you didn't know, Baldur's Gate was a medieval/fantastical setting similar to the TW or anything else, lots of dragons, damsels (Dynaheir anyone?), really no LGBT relationships or even romance to speak of believe it or not, and a dozen of other things.

And guess what? It still managed to resonate with people, LGBT and otherwise, like it or not those gamers and games are closer together than you think.

A lot of company jumped on that bandwagon. CDPR included, since they made the third Witcher game an open world. Let's not pretend Bioware were the only one who wanted to capture at least part of Skyrim's success.

I thin CDPR made a better job in combining the open world system with the story content compared to Bioware, but that's another topic. Both companies went open world to emulate Skyrim's success.

I thought SWTOR had a brilliant open world though to be honest... I just don't think anyone bothered to try it out.

Topic that was created to offend male characters is still opened.

Bioware mods just deleting what is convenient for them.

Neither company wanted to do, I thinj, the open world like Skyrim did, because their type of games are different from TES. They just wanted to capture some of Skyrim's audience by going open world.

The other topic remained opened for a while. This is more recent. It'll get closed relatively soon I think.

i know, but i mean both games ends with open world fill with nothing interesting outside collective. While i like DA I collective more since they add more lore (monuments), Witcher 3 at least give me more interesting looks, but the constant farm for chest and monster nest get tired.

Both game miss the chance to do interesting dungeons outside the main quest. At least Witcher 3 dont get that repetitive when it come down to the look of places, DA I caves look all the same.

I liked the environments, but I felt like some of the side quests and mobs detracted from the overall story. Didn't stop me from finishing the Inquisitor, Smuggler, Warrior, Knight, and making it to the end of Act 1 with everyone else (got to Act 3 with my Bounty Hunter, but it was on a different server from everything else and merges happened, so it got lost in the void). I feel like the whole game would have benefit from being cut back a bit in scope. From what I can remember, Kingdom of Amular: Reckoning had a really good environment, but it's been a while since I played that. Still, something kept me coming back to that. Here's hoping that Andromeda has a lot of unique environments and doesn't fall into the trap of looking similar like Skyrim managed to do.

You can easily make a game with people of varying genders and sexualities, without forcing a heteronormative and misogynistic setting on everyone.

Mayor Nenshi, is that you?

That's because Bioware was not as enlightened back then, as it is now. Its better if the industry moves forward instead of repeating the same sexist tropes of the past.

i have a different opinion, but fair enough. I want Bioware to improve on their open world regardless if TW3 was better, the same or worse.
