Interesting, well one thing I thought was surprising was the femquisitor in Blackwall was just about exposing V. I didn't expect them to go that far.

 

You know, I never got around to a Blackwall romance and the one I found on YouTube censored the V in question, so I can't say how in-your-face (pun not intended) it was.  But they did censor it, so I guess there must be something to what you're saying.  Personally, I've only romanced Sera, Iron Bull, and Cassandra, and the skin shown in those scenes was always just fine with me.

They didn't expose any V. The character models, male and female, literally do not have any genitals on them. The exception is The Iron Bull, but that was done as a joke and was immediately covered in a censor block.

Well there was a thread on this awhile back probably connected to romance scenes but what do you guys think in the context of MEA? I'd enable a poll but as I see the options tend to be
 
A) Never no skin showing even in shower etc
B )Maybe skin but camera pans out from genitalia etc or
C) (Not really present in many games, if any, all skin showing, plus genitalia, etc)
 
I'm just going to go ahead and state I don't really have a problem with C except I only think it's the best and most appealing option for when it's more in "erotic art" category at the appropriate moments sort of thing, although my sense it would probably come off more in the "Pornographic category" than "Erotic art" but hey you never know maybe they can pull it off... ok probably not anyway this is my topic thread.
 
In fact, I think I've seen "erotic art" imagery with the naked body that doesn't feel 100% quite honest either, but I guess that's just me... but yeah the point is the vast majority of the time it's more pornographic.
 
But yes, in general the human body and form is heavily stigmatized, particularly unclothed ones, it would be good to reduce terror and fear of the penis or the breast, both of which have been accused of chaotically rip apart families and debasing the morality.

Not really opposed to them showing junk (don't think they will) but as long as there's no more sexy clothed showers I'm fine. DAIs scenes were perfect in this regard.

They should be natural about it, like not showering in underwear. I like how it all was handled in DAI although full-plate sex a la Excalibur has its merits as well at times.

Sure, it could be done tastefully, but showing nudity below the waste moves ratings from M to AO.. Showing a boob, butt, and silhouettes are one thing, but showing a full shot of penis or vagina brings it into a whole new realm of ERSB lol

 

Not sure about other countries, but in the US an AO rating can kill a game pretty quickly.. I think its a smart move to stay in the M rating for game sales sake.. but one will always remain curious about how Wrex and Garrus looked naked lol

Not necessarily.  Just read my fanfic.  I spend a good 5000 words describing it, mostly with words like "turgid," "throbbing," and "armored."

Why do you need to waste water? They probably have a dry decontamination system. Just stand there naked for a few minutes and you're clean.

"C" all the way (nudity where apropriate - so in the shower, while having sex, in the locker room when switching clothes, at the doctor if it's a full-body-exam etc. - not nudity just for the sake of nudity, but also no shying away from nudity! It's a game for adults, so any prudish notions should go out the window (what are we? 12 year olds that can't talk about their own body much less sex without blushing and stammering? Didn't think so!)), no underwear sex, no hiding genitalia (nudity is natural, it's only modern people that have made it this much a taboo (well: Ok, the Victorian-Era was even more restrictive - probably because queen Victoria herself just wasn't pretty enough and lacked self-confidence!)...It's got to stop, even if all the prudes disagree - and don't tell me it wouldn't sell well: Look at "The Witcher" games!)

I'm fine with nudity when appropriate, as in not gratuitous, and when all genders are given fair treatment. I don't want another clothed shower scene. I can do without nudity in my games though. A tasteful fade to black is fine with me as well. If I want to see some junk, whelp, the husband has no problem running around with the goods flying. In fact, I think he'd be flattered if I asked for a show. Or there's porn.

In the Blackwall romance, the femquisitor is fully nude during one cut scene, but her genitalia is shadowed over so it was pretty censored within itself.. at least that is my opinion having played Blackwall's romance personally

It'll probably be game of thrones level - so plenty of female nudity and men as monks.
Until the third part of the trilogy when all the female characters demand equality and cover up.

Dante's Inferno last boss satan is naked with big hanging penis. And we have lust boss.

Inferno's nudity was never actually sexualised, (something that is a major part of rating in US games I beleive, correct me if I'm wrong) Cleo was a massive creature with boobs that spawned babies, too much of a horror aspect for anyone to take anything sexual from that (hopefully) & Satan was just naked, so his swinging dong was just part and parcel of the picture...could've worded that a lot better.

 

Anyway, I have 0 problems with any nudity in games, as here in the UK the games get slapped with a PEGI 18 rating (I think the BBFC have stopped rating games altogether now), but I do draw the line at TW3's orgasm sounds, there's just no need for that in a game.

 

In short, nudity as situational, just got out of the shower, fine, DA:I's way of portraying it post sex, fine, full frontal, yeah, fine by me.

 

Well that's just my opinion
