Europeans don't view nudity as awkward as us Americans or Canadians.Well most of the time you see V and P in erotic art it feels kinda awkward from my perspective. Or like if you take most classical European art it comes off as really lurid and stuff.
Like Michelangelo's David like lots of skill to make it but seriously what?
Pornography obviously as well.
I'd certainly rather they stuck to that if they feel that's appropriate than over-reaching.. as most fans here seem to feel around your bits I see that as a burgeoning consensus...

That's true, it still can feel a bit weird to-
Wait a sec no I don't believe you about Canadians lol ![]()
Yeah I mean of course, Europeans are definitely less uptight about sex but I still get the sense somewhere around genitalia they sometimes get less.. I don't know... I'm just saying it can feel weird to me sometimes, despite the liberal attitude.
Portrayals from US media almost always feel pornographic to me though, regardless of how much or little skin is showing.
Like I thought 50 Shades was porn, just, straight, porn.
Anyway though as far as Bioware I feel like it's always sincere but I've been curious as to what the threshold sort of is... I definitely think the male/female discrepancy here is a thing as I noticed that in comments elsewhere.

I definitely would go for more overt signs of affection between PC and LI - such as if the LI doesn't go on a mission, they could check in with you and express some concern, or we could have some acknowledgement from other party members that you are an item, or we could exchange a casual kiss here and there. Actually, as annoying as I found Kaidan sometimes, his goodbye scene in ME3 right before the final mission was fantastic. It's okay to act like you like someone, unless you are in elementary school.
Anyway, more on topic with the thread...As a female gamer I get annoyed with the fact that there are always breasts on display in these things but the men are hardly ever even shown even without a SHIRT on. The Blackwall romance in DAI is a poster child for this - he leaves you nude in his quarters and you are fully exposed but he is always shown wearing what looks like a quilt on his entire body - you never even see his arms, for crying out loud. The man is a tank in battle so let's see the guns, at least!
I am hoping this is starting to become less gender-biased though - Cullen, Dorian, Kaidan in ME3 (although he wasn't drawn very realistically in my book - I liked him better in ME1), that level is really fine.
Yeah agree with ya on pretty much all points. I'm surprised how many people were into the Blackwall romance as well I noticed... I'm definitely down for shirtless men minimum

To be honest though. Witcher 2 romance scene is probably the best. Nudity but no genitalia. I don't mind nudity in the slightest. It adds realism. Maybe there could be a fade option for different people. That's true, it still can feel a bit weird to-

They were better than ME2/3 though, whether they were better than ME1 is up in the air
I'm not saying ME2 or ME3 did sex scenes better(other than arguable ME3 Liara). I'm just saying the Witcher 2 does not deserve any praise for their's.

That is literally the only even close to passable one in that game. The others are all ridiculous.

Witcher 2 sex scenes are way better than Origins and DA2 altogether because they actually show sex scenes without genitalia. It was BioWare who made sex scenes laughably bad and CDPR are masters of sexuality. And that has to do with my post...how?

It's funny to me. ESRB says nudity and sexual content. We really don't get that to be honest. What do we get? Underwear bull****. Might as well make the game T for teens. Luckily they improved it in DAI little bit. This is not E for everyone you know.

Well, at least you acknowledge most sex scenes in TW2 were terrible.

Mass Effect 3 is rated for Partial Nudity, not Nudity. We get Partial Nudity with Liara.

Again, never said Bioware did better. Still confused for you bringing up E for Everyone considering DAO and DA2 are M, not E and considering my post was entirely about TW2 not being the best inspiration, something even the person I was replying to agrees with.

Just proving a point. And I compared to witcher sex scenes are better than Dragon Age and ME altogether and they're not afraid of showing it and BW is treating sexual relationships as E and T rating. CDPR are the true masters of mature content when it comes to sexuallity.Well, at least you acknowledge most sex scenes in TW2 were terrible.

Well stuff can get close though, like that girl in Dark Messiah Might and Magic.

Never seen "homophobic uproar". An occasional idiot screaming alone in a desert doesn't make for an uproar, even if he's tenacious and persistent about it.

What's wrong with genitals if they're not up close and are not for a shock value (unike GoT did recently) and are displayed in a non-sexual way?
