Please God, no. That was the second dumbest part of the ending.

MEA is set hundreds of years in the future.

Grandpa: 'It all happened so very long ago'.

Makes sense, whatever - I don't really care.

No, because the expedition left before ME 3.

Doubt it. Doesn't make sense. But I don't think it was dumb.

It is highly unlikely. The grandfather is telling the grandchild a story of how the Reaper War ended. The people in MEA leave before the Reaper War ends.

THE dumbest part, imo.

Yeah but doesn't it take like 400 years to get to Andromeda?

So even if the expedition leaves before ME3, the stargazer will be talking about the story by the time Ryder & Co arrive.

Either way, I don't really care, there was nothing good about that scene.

I agree, it was a waste of Buzz Aldrin's time.

The dumbest part was the Synthesis ending, ARTIFICIAL LIFE FORMS DO NOT HAVE DNA.

I'd laugh as I feel my heart stop pumping blood throughout my body.

Just joking, it wasn't that bad, although I would still laugh, just not entirely certain what kind of laugh it would be.

That ending gave false hope that Shepard was still alive. "One last story," My foot.

Nah. Like the confirmed at E3, there will be nods to the original trilogy, but they want a clean start. No ties to the old trilogy, even that thing after the credits.

It was maybe the dumbest part of the entire trilogy, which makes it a fitting end I suppose.

No, because the expedition left before ME 3.

That actually explains old man's nonsense with everyone being green and stuff, he just had no idea what happened.

Only if it means Shepard was a fictional character all along, and nothing in the trilogy was real.

It's quite possible and it was one of my first thoughts when I first heard about MEA tbh. Id rather wait and see what the MEA story is all about because if it does then it'll likely be explained a little in the story.

And how would anyone in Andromeda know anything about the Milky Way in general?   Let alone Shepard and the Reapers?  To them the Milky Way is just another galaxy just like Andromeda was to us.
