Ok guys I am presenting this problem on the origin sales. 

 

I am a big fan of the trilogy of Mass effect and right now, I want to sell my ps3 who has the trilogy, so I was thinking about buying the trilogy again on my new PC to keep the game, and I thought it would be exciting because that means I could play with much better graphics and maybe mod.

 

So I see the trilogy at the price of 30 dollars, which is cool…

 

The problem is from everything I have seen, it seems it does not include the dlc, and from what I have been told by other, the dlc are still the same price as they were in 2012 or 2013…

 

And of course you cannot see the price of the dlc, unless you have the basic game...

 

And even if the price did go down, I am just telling you something EA :

 

People want to press a button and get the games; they don’t want to make tons of transactions for each dlc one at a time. They want to get everything as quickly possible. Why didn’t you made it a “master collection” or “complete collection” that there is on steam.

 

I am ready to give you my money to get the mass effect trilogy, BUT you need to make that simple for everybody. Make the activity of buying game more convenient, like Jim sterling said “people pay for convenience” and when you force people into buying all of your dlc one at a time it’s exhausting for both their wallet and their patience and many of them are less likely to just buy it.

 

I’ll gladly buy the trilogy on PC, but there is NO WAY, I am buying it unless you make it easier and you don’t charge the price of the dlc the same as they were in 2012-2013. The last mass effect came in 2012, its time to adapt the price of the dlc and make it convenient to buy it.

 

So that was my suggestion EA, keep it simple and people will gladly give you their money

I agree with serviteur de femto there should be versions of each game and the trilogy pack that have all or most of the dlc included.  Many other big ea games have an Ultimate Edition or Game of the Year Edition, why not the Mass Effect Trilogy?

 

Edit - Ultimate Edition already exists for PS3.  Why not PC? This is extremely irritating.

Simply having the dlc available separately would be okay if it weren't for the system they are currently under, the Bioware Points system; It's a super controlling, price locked, extra step that almost never goes on sale, never depreciates with time, and essentially picks the pockets of EA's customers by stating one price and enforcing another.

 

When purchasing Bioware Points we only have the options of 1600 and 800.  If I just wanted one dlc, the cost being 160 points, I am not allowed to simply purchase it.  I have to go buy a minimum 800 points, that is 5x the price of the item I wanted.  That's freaking stupid.  Customers should pay the stated price for the specified item, not more.  Bioware Points are not a product they are a transaction medium that is taking advantage of your customers.  If I never use the remaining points that means EA is pocketing money for no product, that is not only bad business practice but it's also borderline to completely Illegal in many countries including but not limited to the US and the UK.  Even if you buy all the dlc you still have to buy more points than you need.

 

Having "Ultimate Editions" of each game would be a great way to avoid bad practices in general.  Bioware Points need to be readjusted so they can be purchased in custom amounts as to not overcharge the buyers, although the better option would be to get rid of them altogether. Having the dlc depreciate alongside the games or go on sale more frequently would go a long way to increase sales for older games, and decrease piracy without damaging the experience of loyal fans.

 

EA stop abusing your fans, you'll make out better in the long run.  Satisfied consumers are better for business.

Well the dlc system is even more broken than I thought since I have never bought a dlc on the origin platform on pc, the worst part is that I want to give my money to encourage the bioware franchise,

 

I will be happy to do that, but first of all EA needs to stop being stuck in the past and realise too much control only scare away customer,

 

Money is waiting for you EA you just need to make it conveniant for anyone to buy products and they will gladly put it in your pockets.

It's one of the best excluding a few hiccups, but I also forgot another problem.

 

EA also needs to realize that games are technology and that they get outdated by newer tech, pc's are constantly updating.  One prime example is in fact the first Mass Effect game.  The PC version started having issues with with some newer video cards back in 2013.  On Noveria and Ilos all characters and interactive objects get turned into blacked out pixel blobs.  As far as I know EA even now doesn't have a fix for this, only thing I could find was from fans who used console commands to get around the issue ( https://steamcommuni...65056739259400/ this "fix" doesn't look great but it's better than black blobs).  Eventually things like this will become an issue for it's sequels, if they aren't already.

 

A corvette maintained and kept in good condition still heavily depreciates with time, usage and maintenance. Video games, at least on pc, are closer to a new corvette left in someone's lot for many years with no maintenance, despite whether it runs or not, no one is going to want to buy that for same price as a new one directly from the manufacturer.  The older something gets the less valuable it becomes, because of it's future viability.  This is the very reason steam has extreme sales on old games, while most of their newer titles only go down to a maximum of 30-45% during a sale for the first year (which is perfectly fine).  Higher prices on newer games are acceptable because they come with an expectation of the product running smoothly for some time or having resources to fix their problem(s) from official channels, when an older game doesn't work properly most buyers expect they'll have to go fix it themselves, or get another working copy from somewhere like GOG.  If EA wants to charge like new prices for aging games/dlc they had better be prepared to devote resources to make every single one of them work like new on newer technology.

 

The Mass Effect Trilogy is great and one of my favorites but it's time that an Ultimate Edition, at the very least, should be made available for pc users with a similar or slightly lower price tag than this one--> https://www.playstat...te-edition-ps3/

Well Ea has even more work than I thought, its definately time for them with all of their ressources to make sure their game can work properly, especially with the price they ask for their products.

 

Yeah, I just bought it.. but individually (since I wanted those n7 editions). It was pricier than the trilogy, and I expected that.. but still. And I still haven't gotten the dlc yet.
