I would love to replay the series starting from DA:O through to Inquisition, but my PS3 IS OUT of commision. Has there been any discussion or rumours about doing a remaster?

None that I know of.  If it were to happen for DAO and DA2, I would buy.

I'm sure you know that Inquisition can be purchased for the ps4. I have the game of the year edition for mine.

BioWare has come down pretty firmly against doing remasters, so I wouldn't expect one. They've mentioned several times in the past they'd rather put their resources towards making new games.

Understandable, but seeing as how the money that comes in from a remastered beloved classic could only benefit them. I guess we'll see if they change their tune once Skyrim Remaster comes out.

That's generally why remasters are contracted out to another developer. At least the ones I've seen.

I would imagine if they are against doing this, it would be because they don't believe there would be enough sales to make it cost effective ... or at least cost neutral...

I just bought the  UnCharted series remastered and so I think BansheeOwnage is correct  - it came out from Blue Point as opposed solely from Naughty Dog....

Regardless I would still love to play the old games again.... :(

Sweet, you can play on PC all games.

I know that it's not PS4, but it is an option.

That's a good point, it's certainly an option. Though, as duckley pointed out... there's also a question of whether it would be profitable enough to do or not.

Again, it's too bad there isn't a Frostbite Toolset where some enterprising fans could just remake the first 2 games on their own, a la Skywind...  :(

(but of course... that wouldn't help the console players)

Remasters for console usually only happens at the beginning of a new console. Welp, I'm kinda glad now that there's no remasters. I felt the devs were kinda overboard by releasing remasters as PS4 games.

Anyway, I think you should just buy the first two on Steam, perhaps? They're old games, so you should be able to run them at medium-end laptop or even better, desktop.

I understand. I prefer to keep the games on console too. I want to use my computer specifically for work. :P

To be honest, if they were going to re-release DA2 for PS4, I'd rather have a remake than a remaster. That way they could do all the wonderful things that they never got to do because of rushed deadlines.
